Test with Magnifica S almost fine grind, Max dose and maximum temperature of the machine produced an amazing coffee, something I didn't expect since we're talking about a full auto Espresso machine.
That's it for cold coffee, I hope I helped anyone who has the above machine.
No acidity, sweet especially when consumed black.
I received it immediately and it had a roast date of 14/4/2023 -> first coffee on 29/4/2023.
Now onto the basic blends that I will use.

My machine, a super-automatic Gaggia Magenta. Coming from the Lavazza Arabica Brazil Tierra Brasile, which I was very satisfied with, I was eagerly looking forward to trying this coffee. Ground on December 18, 2024. The positives. Incredible crema. And the positives stop there. No matter how many tests I did with temperature and grind of the coffee (as much as my machine allows), the result was an incredible astringency to the point that it left nothing else in your mouth as a taste. The packaging says "sweet flavor, with a strong presence of butter, vanilla, and chocolate, medium body, and sweet acidity." No relation. Reading the comments again, I wonder if the batch I bought had some issue. I don't know. Terrible disappointment. As soon as the coffee I had put in the machine's container finished, I abandoned it.

Considering its increased price, I probably won't buy it again.

Did you find this review helpful? I use it on a Gaggia Classic and an Eureka Mignon Silenzio grinder with a bottomless portafilter. The grind is almost like powder, 22g in the portafilter, extraction for 30 seconds for 60g of coffee in the cup. I have tried I don't know how many coffees. I end up with this one. For ME, it is the best for espresso and hot cappuccino. I don't drink cold coffees, so I don't know. It has an amazing vanilla flavor, the richest and thickest crema I have seen with no bubbles. I have made it for many guests at my house and they all started asking questions like "How do we make coffee, what should I get, what should I buy, wow, I'm going to throw away the capsules, what have we been drinking all this time..." and so on. The people at Black Bart seem knowledgeable and always polite and on time with orders.

Did you find this review helpful?A mediocre characteristic coffee for my tastes. It is somewhat bitter, so I would say it has a strong coffee flavor but not a distinct aroma. Good crema, fresh without acidity, and I don't consider it a waste of money, but it didn't have a strong body aroma or a nice aftertaste. It didn't have anything special for me to buy it again. Commenting on extraction of 28-30 seconds, 18g of coffee => 36-40g of beverage.

Did you find this review helpful?As soon as I opened the package, I enjoyed the aroma of the beans. The roasting date was 14 days ago, perfect and right on time. As soon as I ground it, I noticed the absence of oils on the beans. The extraction result looked excellent, nice crema and visually perfect. Now, as for the taste, coming from espresso brands like Hausbrandt, Portiolli, Illy, this one is simply weak for my taste. I tried it with 20g of coffee in the portafilter of my Gaggia Classic with a non-pressurized basket at three different grind settings, and unfortunately, the result is a mild coffee with a sour crema and a slightly sweet watery juice underneath that resembles coffee. I emphasize again that this opinion is solely based on my own taste, which prefers espresso with a strong body. This particular one is definitely not suitable for a ristretto.

Incredibly nice coffee made by someone who is a complete beginner in coffee grinding and espresso making. Imagine an expert making it! Acidity? None! Those who write such things should check their machine, maybe it needs something more in terms of cleaning, like cleaning the portafilters... No acidity with the Amalfi machine. Get it without hesitation!

It seems like a high-quality coffee with a rich crema. Personally, I struggled a lot with it as it always came out either too burnt or too sour depending on the grind. It never worked well with a French press, it would always be watery with 18g in the basket. Also, regarding what most people write about receiving gifts from the company, personally, I have bought around 4 kilos of coffee and haven't received anything.

For straight espresso (single or double) it is smooth and sweet, I wouldn't choose it for morning coffee. It's perfect for after a meal or in the afternoon. It goes very well in milk-based drinks. This particular coffee, while having an amazing aroma, leaves me with a lot of acidity. I tried it coarsely ground, finely ground, but it always had a sharp taste that only disappeared when I added sugar and cinnamon in a cappuccino. I have the classic red Delonghi with a bottomless filter and their grinder with the hack. With coffees like Silk from Coffee Island or Cuba Altura, which are my "go-to" coffees (sweet and smooth), I achieve excellent results based on my taste. Apart from that, which is a personal matter, the packaging came with a gift of 60 grams of coffee and a gift card for -10%. The reason for the 3 stars is purely for the taste of the coffee. (If anyone knows any settings on how to properly make this specific variety, please share it.)
