  For those who want to have remote (out of Bluetooth range) access to the readings, there is a WiFi bridge from a subsidiary of XIAOMI, which can also be integrated into Home Assistant via the Miot integration. Look for "Xiaomi Qingping Bluetooth Gateway." It works flawlessly with the Xiaomi Home app. I have tested it side by side with the BME280 sensor outdoors for over 6 months, and the measurements were almost identical, once the BME280 was calibrated. The capabilities through Home Assistant and a Bluetooth Proxy like the one I mentioned are very extensive. Essentially, it turns into a thermostat and gives you the ability for a ton of automations.

  Extremely accurate measurements compared to any expensive and recently calibrated thermometer-hygrometer I compared it to. Once you get it, it requires a firmware update to display correctly. That is, besides internal improvements to the firmware, it also fixes the accuracy of the measurements which probably had a bug.
  Keep in mind that all these thermometers like this one that are not user-calibrated will lose their measurement accuracy, especially in humidity and then in temperature, in a few years. So if you want measurement accuracy, we replace our old thermometers with new and good instruments like this one or the Tapo 315, which is also excellent.
  Many here who say it doesn't measure correctly probably have a comparison device that doesn't measure correctly. The only downside is its small and not easily readable screen.

  It is a cheap room thermometer, quite accurate for simple use (you don't expect to measure the temperature of a fridge-room with degree precision, for example). I use 10+ of these as follows: I compare the difference between the rooms (if it is 1 or 4 degrees, for example / without caring about absolute accuracy, in order to recognize the homogeneity of cooling and heating performance. I also have 3 different ones to verify reliability (for example, if they always have differences of 1-2 degrees and suddenly become 5-6, one of them has obviously gone crazy / perhaps due to battery drop or sunlight, for example. None of them has ever broken, none has shattered, none has drained its battery very quickly. Also, I never matched them in the app, etc., etc., I take a walk around the [not] huge house and read them, slowly.. I also left one in the car, I "calibrated" all 4 of my (home) fridge's analog ones, nothing happened to them even in the freezer (but then I opened/dried it with warm air to remove the condensation). Finally, none of the 10(..12?) that I have varied more than 0.3C in the initial days of testing in different spaces, so I could determine reliability (and even this variation changed among them if I slightly moved them, due to.. a distant window = none had a permanent deviation!!)
