Having significant experience in wiring, I found these connectors to be "sticks." Despite having a UTP crimper, I ruined 3 connectors for every one that worked. Also, they are not compatible with Cat5 cables, they only work with Cat6.

Indeed, it does not make good contact with the female. As for the installation, it has some guides on the bottom side of the box for easy placement. I didn't know it had guides and wasted 8 plugs without success.
