Fast and with perfect design so that it fits on USB ports without occupying space on the right and left.
I had a very bad experience as this specific USB of this type has a faulty design and caused damage to the USB ports of a computer. As shown in the photo, the USB consists of 3 parts. The external metal cover, the USB board where the data is stored, and the plastic cover that holds everything together.
The problem is that internally this connection is so loose that the USB board remained inside another computer and was not pulled out firmly or in the wrong way.
A very bad experience for such a product from this company. Yes, it is fast and does exactly what it promises, but in terms of product design, it is by far the worst I have seen.
Due to work, I use quite a few USB sticks, and in their category, they are very poor.
Also, they are recognized as USB 3.0 and not 3.2.
I bought the 64GB version because I was not satisfied with the sandisk 64GB USB 3.0 that I had. I messed up, since the kingston is much worse even though it claims to be USB 3.2. The writing every few seconds resets to zero and the average writing does not exceed 6-8 MB.
From the first day, it had connection problems either with the laptop or with the television.
I don't know if it's a design or functionality issue, but it simply seems like it doesn't fit well in the USB ports.
On the laptop, with a little luck, it connects well and you can do your work (but still with randomly fluctuating speeds).
Now it constantly disconnects from the television, so it goes into the drawer for backup...
The build quality is average. I would prefer the plastic part to be integrated with the rest of the stick's body. The joint is not ideal and I expect it to break at some point.
It's fine and reaches similar speeds to those advertised BUT because it doesn't have a front cover and it's small (about the size of a USB port), it can easily get lost or damaged.
The speeds range from 25Mbps to 000Mbps. I have it on an Asus X470 Prime Pro, a very fast motherboard, and it is useless with USB 3.2
I have it, if I'm not mistaken, for about 1.5 years. Suddenly, no computer reads it and I don't know why. I've spent a whole day searching and trying tools. They find it but can't format it. I just took the files and it will be thrown away. Bad purchase for its price
It looks good, but the black piece on the edge is plastic and "plays" a little, causing me to fear that it might get lost from the keychain
For its price, it is definitely a pretty good USB. It achieves fast data transfer speeds without any issues. Throughout most of the data transfer, the speed is around 200mb/s.
For its price, it is good.
The quality of its construction is below average, which surprised me because I have other Kingston flash drives.
The size is fine.
Something strange that has never happened to me before, even though I bought a 64GB capacity, it tells me that it has 57.7GB free
In general, it is good. The only problem I had is that it does not read on any Smart TV I tried, TLC, SAMSUNG, LG, as well as the car's Media Player. Tested on Dacia Duster and Nissan Qashqai.
While Kingston advertises it with a 60MB/s write speed, the speeds are much much much lower. I measured 28.9MB/s for large files and 5.6MB/s for "mixed" files (small & large).
Very good for its price. It is fast. It's just not very sturdy. You feel that the black handle is not securely attached and that it will break with a fall, for example.
Too small... It can get lost. It's only useful if you keep it permanently attached to your device.
Also, it doesn't always read it and requires insert/remove.
15mbps (slow) speed and besides being very small compared to what I expected, it doesn't seem very durable either. Get the Sandisk Ultra Dual Drive Go 128GB USB 3.1 Stick.
I have it for a short period of time. I am generally satisfied. The only thing that bothered me is that it is very small, I did not notice in its features that it is so small and there is a fear of losing it. Otherwise, everything is fine.
I tried to transfer 4GB of photos from my mobile phone to my laptop.
Initially, I received a message saying that there is not enough space on the destination disk!
Then, I changed the format to NTFS, but in the middle of the transfer, the USB stick got STUCK.
The writing speed ranges from 5.5 to 50.5 MB/s within the same transfer.
Crap. The definition of a failed purchase. Completely useless, imagine here I have been waiting for half an hour to copy 9.17 GB but it keeps freezing. I have tried it in all the ports of the motherboard, drama everywhere. Really wasted 15€, which is not a small amount for a USB stick. I wonder what kind of geniuses released this bell that makes a clink clink sound when you shake it. Anyway, I'm going back to the old data traveler that is faster, better built, and made of real aluminum.
Useless!!!!
Even a USB flash 2.0 from the same company is better in terms of data transfer stability!!! Of course, we're not talking about the fact that it doesn't work for large files over 4GB due to exFAT....
I tried all the tests, both in fat32 and exFAT, and also in NTFS format....
Absolutely terrible
If you have, let's say, multiple types of files, you can see how terrible it is...
At best, it reaches an average write speed of 13MB/s
It performs slightly better in reading, but don't believe the speeds they claim...
I have tried it directly on the motherboard, which has 3.2, 3.0, and 2.0 ports
The only use that suits it is to keep some files that you don't frequently use as a backup (and that's due to its capacity)
UPDATE 30-10-2023: after some time, I decided to add some files (mainly photos) and I almost cried... it's slower than the delay...
It takes a long time to transfer data. Whenever it remembers, it crashes and needs to be formatted in order to work again. I returned it and they gave me a new one, it worked well for a month and then the same thing happened. It's really a shame for the company Kingston, I am a loyal customer of theirs, I have all their storage devices and I will buy from them again, but not this specific model
