When I first put it on, it stings my face as if it has acids. I don't know if that's how it feels in the beginning, but it doesn't irritate my skin. It spreads easily like a gel but is difficult to remove. I use a sponge to clean it because it doesn't come off with anything when I try to remove it with my hand
