The only negatives are that the instructions are not very explanatory to help general people who are not familiar with the field, let me put it this way. It is plug & play but you don't just take the devices and plug them into the sockets. The instructions do not say that the small device is the one that goes next to the router (you have to see it from the diagram and understand it or just figure it out at that moment by looking at the symbols between the devices). Also, it does not mention anywhere that EasyMesh must be supported by the router; you realize this after you buy it and see it in the instructions or download the app. Other than that, it does what it promises, just not at the speeds it obviously claims.
To those who mention negative comments about disconnections and problems with the router... someone needs to tell them that powerlines cause disconnections on VDSL lines MAINLY when you place them close to the phone socket!!! It generates errors on the line and causes disconnections on Vectoring lines... that's why in the settings (at least on the expensive models) there is an option to reduce their power due to VDSL interference.
The reason I chose it compared to cheaper ones of the same or other companies is the ports it offers and the high speeds it supports to cover me in the near future when speeds will increase...cheaper ones usually have low wifi speed and fewer ports. Overall, I believe it is a good reliable solution.
Easy connection (it is indeed plug and play). I suggest that when you first enter the application, go to web configuration and change the device settings - lan setting to static ip. It will help the network to be stable and give you better speed
Personally, it didn't help me at all, on the contrary, it caused me even bigger problems. It's quite complicated and I can't even synchronize it! If someone can help, please let me know! (I know the typical classic issues when it comes to technology, I'm not an expert)
It captures about 70% of the speed provided by the source and has a significant amount of loss, but it comes in handy when installing a simple repeater is prohibitive. Still in testing for almost a month, but without any major complaints or disconnections.
In the initial phase, I simply plugged them into the sockets and they connected before I opened the manual. Maybe you are as lucky as I was, but it would be good to read the "before first use" instructions to get the receiver's IP address.
Personally, I was very skeptical about buying powerline, but it works successfully and without any significant problems.
It broadcasts at 2.4 MHz and 5 MHz and also supports mesh Wi-Fi in combination with compatible tp-link devices. It is 100% reliable, does not disconnect, and maintains excellent speed despite being in a different phase of three-phase power. Of course, the actual speed is not 1.2 Gbps but ranges around 300 ~ 400 Mbps (in my case), which is more than sufficient for any use.
Supposed to be expensive, so it should be good. Bad purchase. Easily syncs with the App and adjusts quickly. The second part with the three Ethernet ports is very unstable, gets clogged, and requires plug-unplug maybe twice a day. It is excessively affected by power fluctuations, but maintains speed with minimal losses. I'm sorry, but it's not worth it. Generally, TR link products are not worth it anymore.
I put it a month ago and today I decided to write a review. The synchronization, the connection is very easy, unfortunately, it snows a lot on the router so I decided to remove it. Whether I connect from the kit or from the router many times, even though it shows that it has internet, in reality it doesn't. The same thing happens with the Ethernet line.
Attention for those who do not know, this device is one of the two needed to create an internet network wherever you want in your home.
Normally it comes in a kit (TL-WPA8631P KIT AV1300).
The wired, via LAN cable from the internet router, transfers the signal through the power cables of the house to the wireless and you have internet where you have placed the wireless (this specific product).
If you want, you can add more wireless devices (e.g. in a remote location or on each floor of the house, but all floors must have a power panel, one network, not separate apartments with different "meters").
I have been using it for many years and I am very satisfied.
It does not slow down the internet speed.
It does not have any interruptions.

It is indeed plug n' play. You can configure it either through the TP-Link app or through a browser. It was installed in a three-phase house, so obviously the sockets where the kit will be used are in the same phase, and it transmits both 2.4G and 5G. In measurements made on the extender's wifi, the 2.4G was playing at 55-60 and the 5G at 185 on a 200 line, very close to the wifi speeds of the router's 5G, but lower in wifi speeds of the 2.4G. So for 5G it is very close to the speeds of the router and I am happy. In these systems, the installation of the electrical network of the house also plays a role, so any deviation from the values may be due to the tricks of the electrician.
If you have three-phase power and a single-family house with multiple floors and separate panels, you will have a problem with the connection.
One solution to this problem is to turn off one by one the phase switches from the DEI clock until you see which one the power is cut off to the unit where the router is connected (i.e., the one with the ethernet port).
With this phase switch turned off, go to the other floor and see which of all the sockets is not working and connect the second unit (with the 3 ethernet ports) ONLY to one of them. It will not do anything in the other sockets...
A great inconvenience for months...

The initial purchase was made on 27/12/2021.
Within 2 - 3 months, I replaced the first one because it didn't provide internet access to my iPhone & iPad. The connection to the Smart TV was lost when it was connected to the machine with a network cable, and the measurements I made barely exceeded 8mbps Down / 10mbps Up (I have a 100mbps line and I easily measure 65-70mbps Down / 10mbps Up from the router).
In its final moments, the speeds were 0.13Mbps Down / 8Mbps Up.
Now the second one is doing the same to me again, and it hasn't even been 2 months since the replacement.
You can't imagine how annoyed I am with the whole situation, I see myself pulling network cables, with a switch & access point in the living room.
I installed them in the summer and I was very disappointed with the wifi disconnections, but I didn't have the option to run cables. At some point, the situation stabilized and I thought it was okay.
Suddenly, in the second summer, the same thing happened again. If the AC in the office doesn't turn on, the end with the wifi stops working (completely, not just the wifi), and it requires a power cycle.
It took months to figure out what was causing it.
Given the price, I can't justify it. I have older powerline adapters from the same company that work in much worse conditions without any issues and at half the cost.
The speed at the powerline level is quite good though, for work or movies (easily handles hdr10), but not for steam streaming through powerline adapters. As an example, it reaches speeds of 400-700mbps in a setup with 4 powerline adapters, only one of which is at 70mbps, probably due to outdated cables.
In quite an old single-phase installation, they operate flawlessly. They synchronize with each other at over 400MBPS, which could be better, but they remain powerline and not ethernet cables, so I am satisfied!
In a three-phase installation in a phase, it releases the oil for the installation, disconnects and loses the IP, restoration with multiple restarts, in Vodafone's 50-line modem it lost the IP and closed the internet (maybe the DHCP), even a static IP did not help. Speed increasing from 25 to 45 Mbps. It is not for those who cannot deal with it much.
Very reliable, stable in its operation, and very easy to install powerline kit. I use it simultaneously taking advantage of its three Ethernet ports and the provided WiFi. Very important, at least for my installation, is the ability to repeat the network name of the router on the WiFi.
It should be noted that it operates very satisfactorily at 80-85 Mbps on a 100Mbps line that reaches the modem/router at 85-90Mbps, in a single-phase electrical installation from the 1970s.
I highly recommend it for demanding (due to its price) SOHO installations.
I had the old model without any problems. After the upgrade, it is also problem-free and faster with WIFI
I like that it has 3 ethernet ports, one for the PlayStation, one for the desktop, and one for the access point.
I don't use the Wi-Fi network because I already had an extender that did an excellent job.
50mbps with 0 losses, it's worth its money.
The purchase was made in November 2020. The problem is that it doesn't hold a connection for more than a day. It used to hold for a few days maybe, but in the past few months, it hasn't been holding and I have to use Wi-Fi instead. I have three-phase power, which may play a role, although a similar device in another part of the house is working. I will investigate further and come back to the evaluation if I deem it needs fixing.
As soon as I connected it, it works great and the WiFi works very well too, even in three-phase separate power phases. It's worth its money, it solved my problem
A little bit difficult for a relatively beginner like me to set it up, but after that everything works perfectly!!! Update: I've had it for 1.5 years and the tplink connection has only been interrupted once!!! Incredibly reliable.
I had purchased another set from the same company in the middle of last year, and seeing the stability in operation and expansion capabilities, I bought this one to add to my existing powerline network. Stability is its strong point, as I have not experienced any disconnections since the day of installation, just like with the previous set. The options for programming the wifi operation and the indicator lights proved useful and fully functional, as this particular one was installed in a bedroom and having the wifi and lights next to the bed at night did not seem like a good idea. It slightly reduced my speed in terms of mbps, but the latency is zero. Although it is expensive, I believe I can trust it blindly, and that is enough to justify the high price.
Excellent solution for me, as the router is in the bedroom and I wanted a connection in the living room for a smart TV, a set-top box (something like an Android TV), and a strong Wi-Fi signal for mobile phones, tablets, etc.
The connection was made automatically, without pressing any buttons (which is extremely important for me).
The Wi-Fi in the living room also worked great and I finally have full coverage. Testing it on speedtest, I didn't experience any significant loss from the router to the PC, on a laptop in the living room. I had an older powerline adapter, also from TP-Link, but it had a speed limit of 50 Mbps and no Wi-Fi, and with online classes due to school closures, this seems to be a lifesaver. It also has 3 Ethernet ports, compared to the 2 I had before, so I don't need to constantly plug and unplug cables.
For anyone considering it, keep in mind that it's best to plug it directly into a wall socket and not a power strip.
I have it for about a week. I wonder how I managed without Powerline for so many years. The 50Mbps VDSL modem-router is at one end of the apartment (typical '90s apartment) and this is at the other end. The speedtests show minimal loss in speed and minimal increase in ping both wired and wireless. I highly recommend it, I don't know if it would be worth going for a more expensive solution, but I'm not knowledgeable enough in the field to judge that.
upd: A little while later, I come to correct the review and remove one star (from 5 to 4). The reason is that the 5GHz band on WiFi is quite "unreliable" and it's almost better to have only the 2.4GHz network on "automatic connection"
