  I bought the card in order to improve the sound on my laptop. I easily made the plug and play connection. Then I noticed that I didn't have any sound enhancement on the soundbar I connected it to, nor any clarity in the sound quality.
  Then I went and connected it to my desktop computer, which I have Logitech 432 headphones with, and I was not satisfied at all with the maximum volume in movies and songs.
  There, the volume simply skyrocketed to different levels. Clear sound without any distortion or crackling.
  Yes, maybe I didn't see a difference on the soundbar, but it is definitely worth the purchase for headphones.

  A reliable sound card that does what it promises without any fuss, as it is plug n' play on Linux and Windows.

  DETAILED
  I got it purely for use on Linux, specifically Ubuntu 22.04. After the Triple Boot with Windows 10 and macOS 12 on my 2019 iMac, the sound worked everywhere except on Ubuntu. I experimented quite a bit and since I couldn't figure it out, I decided to get this card just for Ubuntu to have basic sound through headphones. I was pleasantly surprised. It worked immediately without needing to install anything, and the sound is just fine, both in playback and in the microphone. Considering the price of 12 euros, we're talking about absolute value for money.

  Other positives include the fact that it comes with a long cable, which I liked since I can place it wherever I want, especially since it has a microphone mute function and volume control.

  The only "negative" is the RGB light it has, which changes colors on its own, without the option to turn it off. However, this is not to the extent that I would take away a star in the review. If it bothers you that much, just put a small piece of black tape on it and that's it.

  Excellent product, great value for money, worth getting it. The RGB lighting is not bothersome at all, it's just a small light, so it's not a big negative, it actually makes it more beautiful. EDIT: Don't download any drivers, don't bother, it made my headphones mono and it took me a while to realize it was the driver. I wanted to break them, hahaha. Uninstall the fake driver and use plug n play.

  Excellent choice for the money it costs.
  In Linux (Pop OS) and Windows 11, it is recognized as soon as you connect it directly, without needing any other action apart from connecting it to any USB port of your computer.

  The sound is quite loud and of high quality.
  Strong and rich low frequencies without muddiness.
  In the mid frequencies, the sound is slightly "dull".
  The overall impression is very pleasant and I would definitely believe that it costs more with my eyes closed.

  Combo jack for headphones with microphone, mute button for the microphone, and volume control.

  Importantly, there are no parasites, buzzing, noise, etc. when nothing is playing or when playing something at a very low volume or during breaks in what you are listening to.
  Also, important is that it has a 1m+ cable, so it easily reaches the desk and takes up minimal space (it is slightly larger than a typical USB stick).

  The only negative for me is the RGB light of the "H" that is shown in the photo, it is an RGB LED and quite powerful, resulting in me always having it turned downwards so as not to blind me.

  Also, despite what was written in the description on the websites about the software, I cannot find it anywhere. Fortunately, it is not needed for it to function, but some of the features that Edifier advertised, such as the voice changer for the microphone, are missing.

  If you are considering getting an affordable external sound card for X, Y reasons, simply avoid the 3-4 euro external sound cards and get this one.

  Honest, affordable USB sound card. It produces much stronger sound than the integrated circuit on my computer's motherboard. The stereo separation is also much more pronounced in the headphones. The bass is more noticeable, but it lacks in the mid frequencies compared to the motherboard's sound circuit. It is less "warm" and "rich". Therefore, it is not an ideal solution for certain genres of music. It is based on a c-media chip, so it is automatically recognized in both Windows 10 and Linux operating systems.   Personally, I got it to connect my headphones that I have with a 3.5mm jack (like mobile headphones) and it works straight out of the box on both Windows 10 and Ubuntu/Pop_os!

  The negative aspect for me is the lighting that you can't turn off or adjust.

  Additional details (neither positive nor negative): (a) it has a long cable, (b) on the manufacturer's website, there is optional software (a bit confusing as they advertise it only for their headphones) that doesn't offer much (mainly voice change). I suggest not bothering to install it.

  Edit+: After deleting the optional software, you may need to delete the driver from the Windows device manager and reconnect the USB for it to work.
