Quartz Heater by BORMANN ELITE
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
Heated the room in a quarter. It is very good! It's worth its money and more!
However, the electricity company will burn you! Usually, I pay 70€ for two months and with my stove, it came up to 191€, I should note that I used it for 1 and a bit months. The decision to purchase is yours!
I had bought one in 2020 for the winter in a child's room. I bought another one in November 2021 and since last week it stopped working. Unfortunately, the first one was normally lit and without touching it for any reason, it sparked and as a result, it doesn't turn on anymore. The second one caught fire at the plug. I was really disappointed. I had it for good, but in the end, the second one smelled like plastic throughout the house within 3 months.
Generally, we rent the upper floor of an old single-family house that has zero insulation. Single glazing, sliding aluminum frames that let in air, and thin boards for the ceiling. Nevertheless, this stove literally saved us. On the high setting of 2200kW, it warms the space to around 20-21 degrees within an hour. After that, I lower it to the low setting of 1100kW just to maintain the temperature. It warms us much better than oil and is much more economical. Based on last year's measurements, the oil cost us €2.5 per hour (for 5 radiators that couldn't raise the temperature above 18 degrees), and the stove, with the current electricity prices, costs us about €0.60 per hour at 2200kW and about €0.30 per hour at 1100kW, and it pleasantly warms the space. Overall, in our case, it is more than worthwhile. Recommended!
After 3 years it still works perfectly. At maximum operation, it heats very well 30sqm, maybe even more. It is worth its money, and then some.
It provides very good heat. I have it in the living room and it warms up the whole space, which is about 40 square meters.. but the layout of the house is such that the heat also goes into the rooms
Good for its price, not perfect. I happened to have cheaper ones that produced heat even from their back side. However, for a small space, e.g., 25 square meters, it does the job.
I put it on very little.
What I managed to see is that it doesn't heat up quickly.
With the same money, you can find one with 5 bulbs.
I rushed.
Generally, I write descriptions on products that are either very good or very bad.
This particular product is very good. It does its job excellently, easily and effectively heating a 40m2 space without excessive consumption. It is a product that uses electricity, so don't expect it not to consume anything, but we didn't have any issues with high consumption.
Additionally, with its wheels, it is very easy to transport from room to room, and removing them is easy for storage for the next year.
Now it is heating another relative's house since we installed natural gas and we are relieved. If you don't have autonomous heating with natural gas, which is another category of comfort and economy, this specific stove, if combined with another one, can heat an entire apartment very well and economically.
After two years of use, I am very disappointed. I had a similar Chinese stove at home, and in the room where I had it, it became an oven; with this one, you have to be right next to it to get warm. Look for something else better and don't be influenced by the positive comments you see!
We use it for the intense cold and we close ourselves in the dining room-kitchen. It does its job satisfactorily quickly for its cost.
A very good choice to boost the warmth or heat up a space!!! Good quality and low price.
Very good quality construction for its price. It quickly heats up the room, even without a fan.
Only the wheels are a bit cheap and it makes it move very easily and not feel so stable, but the fall safety works great (fortunately, it hasn't been needed... yet).
Simple bulbs that consume electricity. Nothing else! If you are in front of them, they do something. In a bedroom with a closed door (thermal insulation and triple glazing), they do nothing for an hour.
After a year and a half (1 year from purchase), it stopped working... I expected something better from this company considering that I used a nearly unknown Turkish stove for almost 5 years.
Update: It was repaired for free due to warranty... we'll see how long it will last
We bought it to heat a 40 square meter space. It only heats the area that is close. About one third of the total space. A timer would have been useful. Power consumption on the lowest scale is 1KW per hour. We do not regret our purchase.
The worst thing someone can put in their house with today's electricity prices... It only heats the hands and feet locally, don't expect the house or a room to warm up with this or a similar stove. They are all the same, and I'm talking about a 22 sqm house... with a consumption of 2 kilowatts per hour, in 10 hours you have burned 20 kilowatts per day, crazy consumption and you won't get warm... Prefer another heating method unless you just want to warm your hands locally
Perfect stove for its price, easily heats a room of 16m2 and reaches a temperature of about 25 degrees. The only drawback is that it dries the atmosphere a lot and burns the floor if all 4 lamps are on. We are talking about nighttime external temperatures in winter up to -20 degrees, with no difference in the DEI bill (I'm not talking about the readjustment clause)
Very powerful stove, heats the room in a satisfactory time and if you sit next to it, you really burn from the first minute!!! Combined with good insulation, just a little bit of lighting it significantly improves the temperature. I even used it to quickly dry some clothes by placing it to hit the clothes rack! As for consumption, there is clearly an increase, as is normal with any device that operates on electricity, and of course depending on its use. However, I consider it to be one of the most economical options.
Average stove maybe because of the price. Generally, it does not have material to reflect the heat and the resistances are moderate in thickness, meaning that it does not heat up enough for the overall volume, only locally. I would not choose it again, as for consumption, I have a locked kilowatt-hour from the power company, so that's a good thing. Now, whether this will save me from a big bill will be seen when the bill comes and I update you.
I bought the exact same one 5 years ago, it hasn't had any issues. I mainly use it in a dining room with a 40 sqm kitchen, and it's flawless
Incredible product.
We bought it and were amazed.
It naturally warms up only around the edges, but if you have it close to you, it is incredibly efficient.
Unfortunately, my space is weird and the location is weird, so if it doesn't hit you directly at the height, the heat doesn't flow well. The small cable is annoying sometimes
Excellent! Value for Money!
I bought one for my daughter who is a student in Patras, I was very satisfied with the quality and I bought another one for my living room in Athens.
In the 10 square meters low-ceiling room, it works moderately! I do not recommend it! It needs to be placed in a corner with a view of the entire room! If it sees your face, it dries it out and creates headaches like a simple incandescent lamp! It restricts you in various ways! I won't talk about consumption, there are no energy classes and it only restricts you to a reinforced power line socket! I believe an expensive air conditioner is the only way to go for a more reasonable electricity bill! And if you really want to warm up, you can use a radiator and then walk around in your underwear!
After 1 year of use:
Beautiful, but it constantly shuts down when I have it on max. I have to turn it on with two bulbs to avoid short circuit.
I wouldn't buy it again.
Firstly, the stove is a gem. Elegant, beautiful, slim, and minimal. It is fully adjustable, either with wheels or without, and can be easily transported because it is very lightweight. I have had it for 1 month and so far it works flawlessly and is very efficient.
In setting I, 2 resistors light up, and in setting II, all 4 light up. If you put it on setting II and not all of them light up, you need to increase the intensity from the thermostat dial. I mention this because I was momentarily afraid it had broken when it happened to me.
I will come back in the future if any issues arise.
Quality construction, easy assembly for the wheels, easy transportation, quickly and satisfactorily heats a 20 sqm room, nice design.
Update: Within 20 days, it stopped working with minimal daily use. I will come back after using the warranty.
Update: Since the stove has a two-year warranty, it was replaced with a new one.
The first one that I received never worked, it didn't turn on. It was returned and since it was purchased through skroutz, it was replaced by another store.
The second one was okay. Its use is in the living room to assist a 12,000 BTU air conditioner, so it is good for that.
In a bedroom where I placed it, it heated relatively quickly. Now, as for the consumption, according to the meter I placed between it and the outlet, it seems to draw quite a bit on the high scale, but all similar heaters are expensive.
It is lightweight, easily portable, and easily heats up my room (I live in a small studio apartment of 33 square meters, so I don't have high demands). As a device, it is elegant and well-made, with two levels where you can turn on either 2 or 4 bulbs, and a second switch to adjust the temperature level.
*Keep in mind that I picked it up from the store and carried it myself, walking a distance of 1 km to my house, and I didn't get tired at all. That's how lightweight it is.
Very good for the money we paid. It comfortably heats a room and maintains the temperature with the lowest setting. Lightweight and with wheels, it can be easily moved from room to room.
However, the electricity bill increased significantly...
update 4/22: after daily use, I can say that it doesn't adequately heat a large space, only if you are right next to it you feel warmth. Also, after one month of use, the electricity bill came to 400 euros, so we stopped using it.
