    I received it today and I am really impressed. The lens is excellent for portraits and very sharp from f2.5 and onwards!

    I have attached and used it on the (entry level camera) Nikon D3300, in which you can only use manual focus, and I emphasize this so you know (the reason being that the camera does not have a built-in focus motor, search on Google to find out what it is, etc.). Although everything I do with the lens is manual and sometimes I may deviate from the focus, it is simply incredible and I am satisfied with my needs! It is very sharp at 1.4, which is hard to find in lenses (and the edges are also very sharp), it does not have much color aberration although it is relatively corrected. The construction is incredible - sturdy - you feel like you have something that is solid for use! Unfortunately, I wish I could say more, but I don't have an opinion on the new f/1.4G that has come out in order to compare it (that one has AF normally). I found it used for 150€, almost new, and I was thrilled when I got it and it did not disappoint. Finally, as I mentioned before, I wish I had a body (camera) that had a built-in focus motor and I wish I had an opinion on the new equivalent that came out and of course, the bokeh is amazing. I recommend it!!

    Summary:
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    + Awesome Bokeh, pure cream!
    + Sharp at 1.4
    + Incredibly sharp from 2.8 and above
    - Price, especially compared to the 1.8D or even the 1.8G
    ========================================
    Detailed:
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    First of all, I should mention that my only previous experience with a lens was with the Nikon kit (18-55) on the D3200, so I am speaking based on that.
    As for the bokeh, as expected, the quantity is huge. As for the quality, it is creamy and it is hard to find hard edges, unless there are strange LEDs in the background.
    Its sharpness is amazing, even when wide open (f/1.4) and at worst, it is as sharp as the kit lens. The more you close the aperture, the better the sharpness gets, but below 2.8, it is incredible how even the raw files have so much detail.
    There is quite a bit of fringing at 1.4, but it disappears by 2.8.
    The price is somewhat high and I don't think it's worth it compared to the 1.8D, unless you find it used for less than 200€ or if you really know why you need it, so you probably wouldn't be reading this review ;)
