  I have had it for about a month. It cleans very well, so much so that on a floor that I thought was already clean, I had to empty the bin twice before it finished cleaning the house. The mopping is also quite good. Especially if you set the maximum water flow and make two passes, it does a decent job of mopping. You should know that it doesn't just pass the cloth over the floor, but it also scrubs it with a pulsating motion (it includes a special attachment for this). Of course, this significantly increases the noise, but it doesn't matter, as long as it does a proper job.

  The noise is not particularly loud (when it's not mopping), but it's definitely not something you would want to use at night while you're sleeping to clean your room.

  I think the bin is very small and needs to be emptied after each cleaning because it has a fairly large water tank, so space is limited. Also, after each cleaning, you have to clean the brush because hair and such get tangled in it. It doesn't suck them into the bin.

  Beyond that, I expected much better from the app. It is very mediocre. For the price, however, you expect something more than mediocre.

  First of all, you can't control whether it will mop or not through the app. Once you place the bin with water, it will mop whether you want it to or not. The only thing you can control is the water flow (it has four levels). The problem is that if it's mopping, it doesn't go onto the carpets. I was under the impression before buying it that when it's mopping, it would simply stop mopping when it encounters a carpet. But in the end, it doesn't even go onto the carpets. This is a problem because if you're not at home, you have to choose between mopping or having clean carpets. Either you place the bin and it doesn't go onto the carpets, or you don't place it and then you don't have mopping. Of course, theoretically, according to the instructions, you're not allowed to have a full bin of water while it's charging, so you can't have it mop while you're away.

  Another thing that I thought it would do but it doesn't is to choose whether it will clean carpets or floors. For example, if I have it mop and leave the carpets uncleaned, how can I then have it clean only the carpets? And it's a shame because it recognizes the carpets perfectly.

  Another thing that annoys me is that if it detects a change in the environment, it immediately creates a new map and loses the old one. I'm tired of creating maps. Besides that, it gets confused so much that it can't even find its base.

  As for obstacle avoidance, which is the main reason I chose it, I didn't notice any particular ability to avoid obstacles. In fact, it always gets tangled and never finishes cleaning unless I'm there. Once it got stuck under a chair. Couldn't it get out the same way it got in? And even though it has a camera, you can't remotely control it and manually free it because when it's in cleaning mode, you don't have access to the camera.

  In short, I consider the app to be more than lacking. For the amount of money, it should have a more decent app. I hope they make a serious upgrade soon.

  Another parameter that I hadn't thought about before buying it is the ease of finding spare parts. Even if it doesn't break, sooner or later I will have to change the filters, brushes, etc., and with a quick search I did online, I wouldn't say that they are readily available.

  The T8 Aivi is the new robot vacuum/mop from Ecovacs with an intelligent camera for avoiding and recognizing obstacles such as slippers, socks, cables, etc. It cleans and mops in our house since June and so far it has covered over 7000 square meters. The apartment is 150 square meters and we have 2 cats. After the latest software update, the T8 Aivi operates quite reliably. There is no longer a loss of stored room layouts, which was the main issue. The app receives regular updates and will satisfy with the provided capabilities. Additionally, the T8 Aivi can also be used with a separate docking station. The robot is now effective on both carpets and hard floors and at the same time very quiet. Especially compared to handheld vacuum cleaners. My cats are grateful. The build quality is among the top in its category. It senses carpets to automatically increase power or avoid them when mopping. Where other devices fail, the T8 Aivi can overcome obstacles up to 20mm in height and through a ramp almost any height (maximum slope of 22°). Furthermore, the Aivi can also be used for online home monitoring. Mopping with the new "Osmo Pro" attachment is not really uniform, especially on textured floors or tiles. The disposable cloth is too thin for this use. A slightly thicker and more absorbent cloth works much more uniformly. But this needs to come from Ecovacs as it interferes with navigation due to higher friction resistance and therefore requires different software settings. The standard "Osmo" attachment with the blue reusable cloth works much more uniformly but is less effective. The Osmo Pro is better on smooth floors as well as laminate floors. Only the T8 Aivi has both mopping attachments.
