It has an apple scent (which may be a little off-putting for some) and small granules. At first, I felt like it didn't do anything and I was ready to give it to my sister. I rinsed it off and was amazed. Not only did it clean and make my face velvety, but it also illuminated it! It turns out it was a lighting issue in the bathroom and not the product itself. I will buy it again. It can also be used as a cleanser/scrub for anyone who wants a product that does it all at a reasonable price.
