It withstands swimming very well, which is why I bought it. I used it for everyday swimming, both me and my wife, and it hasn't let any water in at all.

My father has had it for many years and uses it in his work as well as in the fields/sheep. It is very durable for heavy-duty tasks as it is very lightweight (you don't even feel like you're wearing it) and very resistant to abrasions. It broke today and I ordered it again.
