Laptop cooling stand for up to 17 inches with two 140mm fans and two USB ports for connecting peripherals and charging devices.
The position of the two fans provides airflow across the entire surface of the laptop
You can adjust the airflow to find the cooling and noise level you prefer
The two bases at the bottom of the surface keep the computer in the correct position and protect it from unwanted scratches
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
A stable value for 8 years. I have bought it for all my friends and at the office, and we are all extremely satisfied. The best part is that while you have to "sacrifice" one USB port from your computer, it also has an additional port so you don't actually have to "sacrifice" it. Also, the power cable is separate and not integrated into the base! And if it gets cut, you can get a similar one for €0.50. Finally, you can adjust the cooling speed from the fans (2). If you set it to maximum, it will obviously be noisy, but not annoyingly so.
With several height levels to reach eye level
A typical construction with two central fans that do a decent job. For office work, it supports just fine and for the 20€ it was purchased, it is a decent choice!
If you want it for gaming, get something more powerful
For its price, it is an expensive stand.
For me, with my Legion7 16", it didn't do the job. Whether I had the laptop on the stand or not... constantly 85 degrees CPU and 58 degrees GPU. I had open design programs, Edge, Outlook. On another stand that I have, bought earlier with one of the two fans in operation, it lowered the temperature by at least 4-5 degrees. More specifically:
POSITIVES
- Large enough to fit a 17-inch laptop
- Fan speed adjustment with a wheel on the base
- Large fans
NEGATIVES
- Plastic construction, with poor airflow
- Low fan speed
- The base is not open along its entire length, only where the fans are located
Overall, this design doesn't work. I don't know what I was expecting... if you want serious cooling, go for the IETS GT500 (which I purchased after this stand), otherwise, for a more budget-friendly option, get a stand for 7€ to raise the laptop higher.
As shown in the photo, a (relatively old) 15.6" laptop fits perfectly on the stand, so I believe a 17" one would be larger than the stand. The cooling of the laptop with the setting on maximum (it has a rheostat for speed adjustment!) is exemplary, with a temperature drop of up to 10°C...!
Now, as for the noise, which is the main criterion for choosing a stand (let's not fool ourselves, noise is the issue, they all cool), it is imperceptible even in full operation. Obviously, users who had an issue with the noise encountered a faulty product
The cooling is good, but the noise is almost unbearable even at the low setting, resulting in me using it only as a stand.
The fan makes a very loud noise to the point where I don't turn it on anymore, I just use it as a support base.
Very good, I highly recommend it! However, for my own laptop, the cable should have been a bit longer to reach the USB port.
A very good choice for cooling your laptop. It has a very high-quality body and its fans have a very good airflow. One negative aspect for some people might be the noise of the fans (when they are running at full speed), but due to the controller it has, you can adjust them to lower speeds and therefore make them silent as well.
It does the job at maximum fan speed, reducing the laptop's temperature by up to 10 degrees, but kids, it makes excessive noise that is unbearable without headphones.
The purchase of the product is not worth it. In less than 8 months, the USB ports broke, the fans became loose, and naturally, they did not work.
For its price, it's fine, plastic but convincing in terms of construction. The USB ports still work after a few months, I haven't had any issues, I already have a keyboard anyway. The issue is that if it's a USB 3.0, when you connect it to the laptop, it automatically becomes 2.0.
At first, I would have thrown it away because of the noise, it doesn't make too much noise but it was annoying and buzzing. Now it has become straighter and more durable. I have it at the end with the laptop lid open. Good cooling, don't expect miracles on laptops with small openings and closed lids, get the company's doctor to clean it from the inside first and a good thermal paste, of course, and then compare.
I bought it for Sony with a 16.4" screen and it fits perfectly for this size. It seems to have good quality construction, it has an effect on cooling but the fan makes annoying noise even at the lowest setting, more like a bearing than aerodynamic, so I don't use it. I would buy another one without noise.
After two years of use, I can say that it is a reliable stand with good cooling. At first, the plastic doesn't inspire much confidence, however, it hasn't suffered any damage so far even though I carry it in a bag.
What you need to know:
- It only has inputs from the left side (meaning you have to place it on the same side as your laptop)
- I don't think it's suitable for a 17-inch laptop. My 15.6-inch laptop fits just right.
It is a good base for its price. My laptop is 15.6 inches and fits perfectly, I don't know if it will comfortably fit a 17-inch laptop.
I have the Matebook D14 laptop with this cooler. When I play CS:GO with max graphics and while the laptop is charging, the laptop's temperature reaches up to 54 degrees, whereas without this cooler, the CPU reaches 78 degrees. So, I believe it does its job and more for its price. The only negative thing is that it makes a strange sound, as if the fan is touching something
Beautiful in construction and sturdy, it perfectly fits my 15.6-inch laptop without protruding too much, but it sounds like a tractor. The actual decibel level is 35-50, not the 21 it claims. It's not just a gentle breeze, but the fans sound like they have an internal combustion engine. It can't even handle the lowest setting, let alone the highest. Another 10-year-old laptop I have with a single small fan is much quieter. So, when the fans are turned off, it can be used as a simple stand.
It is also misleading that it claims to have 2 USB ports because one is used for power supply, so essentially you only get back what you lose.
It is the 2nd one I buy, it has very good features
with two 140mm fans and maximum airflow of 115 CFM
only that in size it is for 15.6 and not for 17-inch.
Very good base. It significantly reduces the laptop's temperature and maintains it at normal levels even during gaming (the laptop I used is not even a gaming laptop and has a pretty bad cooling system). The only negatives I can find are that in max mode the noise is borderline annoying and that even though it says it is for laptops up to 17'', my 15.6 laptop fits perfectly.
Attention, it is for laptops up to 17" in SIZE, not SCREEN. For example, mine is a 15.6" screen, but it fits just right on this specific stand. Check the dimensions to be sure.
Overall, it seems very good and makes a satisfactory difference in temperatures. However, even at the lowest volume, there is a slight "buzz" (quite noticeable at maximum volume). I believe this is inevitable, I doubt there is any completely silent stand (at least at this price range).
Nevertheless, I recommend it because I believe it is the best in terms of value for money, I don't think it's worth getting something more expensive (in my opinion). I just hope it withstands the test of time.
Let me start with the positives.
It is a fairly quality laptop cooling pad for its price. It has a metal surface above the fans for better cooling performance. It is quite stable in holding the laptop without it "playing". It also benefits me that it has a second USB port since on my ROG, I only have one available on the left side.
Now for the negatives, pay attention.‼️‼️ It is a stand for 15.6 laptops and nothing more.‼️‼️ It is also quite plasticized, except for the cooling area, but it doesn't bother me as you don't buy such a stand for design but to do your work.
Another negative is that it ‼️lacks power as a cooling pad. For those who want to do demanding tasks and raise temperatures to about 80 degrees and above, it is better to buy something else that will do its job much better.
Update 30/06/2020
The one USB port is not working. I repeat, it is made of plastic all around. Not at all premium and quite fake.
Two days ago I received the stand. Because my laptop is 17.3", it is slightly larger than this. Nevertheless, I have to say: Very good build quality, the two fans it has do their job more than enough while the noise is imperceptible at their maximum performance and of course it is value for money.
I have not determined yet if it is effective. I can hear the fans working, but I don't think it significantly lowers the computer's temperature.
I have had it for 18 months. In order not to lose the USB3 ports of my computer, I power it from a phone charger and usually forget to turn it off. That means it can work 24 hours X 7 days without any problem. It doesn't have any lights, but it provides 114CFM and it is "beastly". I just bought it again for my second laptop. I use it with an external keyboard and I don't have an opinion on the height and angles' usability.
Excessively noisy at maximum fan speed, didn't see any difference in laptop temperature. After four months of use, the left fan cracked for no apparent reason. Look for something else at this price, there are other options available.
Hello and Happy New Year,
I have had this stand for about a week now and it makes a little more noise, of course, this is due to the high airflow. It has quality plastics and the laptop sits very well and securely on the stand. It has a fan speed controller and an extra USB port so you don't lose one port from the laptop, you can also connect it with a mobile charger instead of the laptop!
As for the effectiveness in reducing temperature during gaming, I saw a temperature decrease of up to -6 degrees, and I also noticed that the laptop plastics were cooler during gaming compared to without this stand!! For 14 euros, it is the best thing you can get!! One last observation is that my laptop is 15.6 inches and the specifications of the stand mention 17.3 inches, I can confidently say that it is ideal for 15.6 inches because it fits and fully covers the surface of the stand
Perfect for a 15.6" laptop, of course there is a small noise from the fans
It is not suitable for a 17.3-inch laptop. It protrudes and does not seem to withstand a 2.5-kilogram laptop. As for its functionality, I can't say that it impressed me much. If I had a second chance, I would buy a base for 40 euros. For that money, you can't get such a cooling pad, especially if you have a gaming laptop
