The Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens for Sony E is specifically designed for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless systems. Ideal for portraits, it offers beautiful, rich bokeh effects that only large-aperture lenses can achieve.
It features a maximum aperture of f/1.4, allowing you to work even in low-light conditions and also providing increased control over depth of field to achieve shallow depth of field effects. The optical arrangement incorporates a series of low dispersion, aspherical, and high refractive index elements, and the large diameter design achieves a remarkable degree of sharpness with well-controlled distortion and aberrations. Additionally, it features a Super Multi-Layer Coating that enhances contrast and color fidelity in strong lighting conditions.

I have been using it for a month now on the a7siii, both for video and photography.
Obviously, it's not the most suitable lens for video at 85mm, but it doesn't matter. The image that comes out of this lens is exceptional.
Sharpness is incredible, even at f1.4, with minimal vignetting in the corners. Beautiful bokeh, minimal chromatic aberration, and good autofocus, although I rarely use it since I prefer manual focus.
It's superior to the equivalent Sony GM lens, which is also true for many other Sigma lenses, and you don't need to spend a fortune to buy it!
I have switched from A6300 to A7 Mark III and chose the 85mm Sigma lens as my first lens. Tremendous sharpness, quiet, excellent construction, and an amazing Ring with 3 options.
I particularly like that you can lock the F on the lens or let it turn smoothly or set it with a click, so that each F locks lightly. Also, there is an AEL button on the lens.
It is quite small for the F it provides and has a nice Hood that locks on top and has a button to release it. The autofocus works flawlessly in the photos I have used it for so far. I will come back for the video.
It has a slight noticeable distortion for the picky ones, but it can be easily corrected in Lightroom.
Now, whether it is worth the 1100 euros it costs, I am not the right person to say because I have not tried other lenses of similar category like the Sony 85mm and the Samyang.
