Unfortunately, my cat who has diarrhea problems does not eat it; only the other one who does not have gastrointestinal issues eats it. Since we are in a phase where we are trying to overcome the diarrhea, I will return to my review in case she eats it when she calms down from the treatment.
My cat suffers from chronic inflammation of the anal sacs, and in my attempt to give her a dietary supplement with psyllium (she wouldn't eat it no matter what), I discovered this food that contains it among other things. Her bowel movements have gained volume, resulting in the anal sacs emptying, and thus they stopped being inflamed. When I tried to change her food thinking she was cured, the inflammation recurred, and we immediately went back to the fiber response. I wouldn't change it for anything
After switching the food from 100% wet to 100% dry, my cat developed severe constipation and had a lot of difficulty. This particular dry food is the only one that really helped her with the constipation, without needing any medication or mineral oil. The result is even better than when I was only giving her wet food.
I give it to my cat for health reasons, after a car accident and hernia surgery.
I don't have an opinion on whether this specific food affected her fur, as as soon as she took off the collar, she started grooming like crazy!
I also don't have an opinion on whether it affects her mood.
She is definitely not ill-tempered.
She is lively and affectionate.
She likes the food.
From what I have smelled, it smells very nice too.
She goes to the litter box just fine and several times a day. Definitely 2 to 3 times.
Attention! Fibre Response is for constipated cats.
The packaging that does NOT say Fibre Response is for cats with diarrhea.
I use it for my cat who has constipation issues. It has helped her a lot in the litter box and seems to sit lightly in her stomach because she eats more. In combination with a little milk she drinks, her stomach hurts less and she acts more easily.
Well, I rarely comment, but this specific food has helped my cat a lot and I hope others benefit from the review. She suffers from constipation due to a pelvic fracture that has caused a misalignment and leaves a small exit gap, resulting in constipation, vomiting, and loss of appetite. I tried many things and clinical diets, as well as duphalac (which didn't do anything), liquid paraffin (now reduced to 1 ml), but this is the only thing that has restored her to a normal state! (She goes to the bathroom comfortably and eats with appetite). Generally, I recommend combining it with wet foods without meat substitutes and plenty of plant fibers, and if someone doesn't find relief, they can try powdered red elm bark, red pumpkin in the diet, and psyllium (also included in this food) which I have heard work well! Finally, for more urgent cases where the cat is suffering, try glycerin suppositories for children.
We have been using it for 5 years and finally it came out as wet food, search in foreign eshops from Bulgaria
