The glass-ceramic induction cooktop remains cool as the heat generated through induction is directed straight to the cookware (note, part of the cooktop may have been heated by the cookware). Cooking on an induction cooktop saves time (60%) and electrical energy (50%). It provides high efficiency (up to 90%) with minimal thermal loss.
A uniform glass-ceramic surface covers the top surface of the cooktop. Thus, the appliance is easily kept clean. Since the required cooking heat is generated in the cookware and the cooking surface is not directly heated (only through residual heat from the cookware), anything that spills out of the cookware does not cook on the cooktop surface.
