The SKYLER chair is almost entirely made of polypropylene except for the chrome-plated metal base and the metal frame of the seat that incorporates all the adjustment mechanisms and, of course, the shock absorber that can support up to 120 kg of weight. Polypropylene is particularly resistant to weight and water, while it has high resistance to temperatures up to 125 degrees Celsius. Additionally, its durability is not limited to weight, water, and temperature but is unusually resistant to many chemical solvents, acids, and bases.
The chair's upholstery is made entirely of high-quality PU leather. This is also known as synthetic leather or faux leather. It has the texture of linen fabric. Synthetic leather is an evolution of leatherette but with the main characteristic that it does not easily distinguish from real leather to the eye. Its composition is mainly polyurethane and polyamide microfibers as opposed to leatherette which mainly contains PVC.
