5 stars are enough for several uses and because it is economical and because if you use it correctly it does the job, especially for city rains on boots. It goes into a dry or wet shoe, which is very good, for example, if it starts to rain and you have it somewhere, you apply it and go out. It goes on with the sponge from the tube and you spread it everywhere with your fingers. Then it needs to be rubbed until absorbed.
Don't expect to dip your whole foot in water all the time and for the shoe not to get wet. However, the wax will keep the leather from getting soaked in the rain, and if when you apply it initially you decide to get dirty and apply it properly on the seams and in places that are hard to reach with your hand - for example, corners, this will be beneficial later in the rain. Also, it requires a lot of work after it dries to absorb and not show "whiteness." A toothbrush for this thing, and after a day I use black cream for black shoes, especially around the seam of the sole with the leather.
Now, don't expect to make air forces or any shoes with ventilation holes waterproof. It will protect the leather there, of course.
What else did I notice while using it?
    1. It darkens the color. This is true for all the ones I have tried, no doubt for me.
    2. It softens the leather.
    3. On a white boot, the seams will be darker although I didn't try to rub them with water afterward with the logic that I wanted to have protection on the seams, but it's something that many may not like even though it adds a bit of a vintage look.
