While it has an indication on the box that it has a switch, it actually doesn't. I installed my own. The cable is also designed in a way that it can only pass through a hole on the surface without folding and protruding the body. I installed it in a corner in the kitchen and used a cable from the edge. It is also quite low in overall construction quality. The light is a consolation, it is quite bright. If you are looking for something like this, ask first about the switch, etc.
