  I bought it because after installing fiber optic, my old adapter couldn't handle the network speed anymore. It's plug 'n play, but it doesn't allow my computer to enter sleep mode. I had to create shortcuts on the desktop to disable it before putting it to sleep. Overall, though, it is stable and I haven't experienced any disconnections. I also play online, so I would have definitely noticed. Its range is so-so. When I had it connected low in my desktop case, it didn't have a strong signal. Now I have it in the USB hub on my desk and it has a decent signal (although I still don't reach the 200mbps of my connection). And it's not far from the router (about 6-7 meters in a straight line, although there is a wall in between). Anyway, for a reliable value-for-money solution, it's just what I need.

  Replaced an older D-Link DWA-131 which had a lot of difficulty catching signal through 3 walls and also frequently disconnected.

  Firstly, I would like to mention that my speeds (VDSL) on the router are 55Mbps down/5.5Mbps up. Regarding this Tenda, I have to say that the installation was very easy and quick. You connect it via USB, run the setup (which you can find inside the USB itself) and in 10 seconds you're ready.

  Speeds and connectivity 5/5, for now I see 46-48Mbps down and 4.6-5Mbps up (compared to the 8-20Mbps down and ~1-2Mbps up of the D-Link in the same placement).

  Furthermore, the construction (the plastics, etc.) seems very high quality and the antenna "locks" into the defined positions with a lot of security.

  *Note: Before installing the Tenda drivers, uninstall+delete the drivers of any previous USB WiFi adapter you may have had (it is also mentioned in the quick guide).
  *Note 2: It would be good to have it above the desk (e.g. with a USB extension), in order to have the maximum signal reception.

  1 month of use update:

  Unfortunately, some driver issue prevents Windows from recognizing/activating the adapter during startup (only). The solution is either to unplug/replug the antenna from the port or to disable/enable the driver in the device manager. Minor inconvenience, perhaps it has to do with some conflict due to my previous adapter. Nevertheless, I deduct 1 star because, from what I see, the Tenda driver has not been updated for a long time.

  Connected at 5 GHz on fiber optic (100Mbps) at a distance of 6-7 meters without any intermediate wall, the previous Tp-link had really angered me with its unacceptable drivers, the almost half-hour disconnections, and the fluctuations in speed, which ranged from 35 to 60 Mbps in various speed tests, and upload speeds of about 7 Mbps.
