Update after quite some time of use.
Don't make the mistake of using the regular washing program. We never used it because we didn't need it. The clothes just needed a refresh at the cottage, and we used the quick programs. The regular (without pre-wash) takes over 3 hours to finish. I think it washed for about 3 and a half hours! Unacceptable!
First evaluation after purchase.
Recent purchase for the cottage. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a washing machine that would work for 1 month all year. A few years ago, I worked as a technician for home appliances, although I have since changed my technical field. Thus, I have the ability to judge and evaluate a home appliance more professionally than others. After 3-4 completed washes, my opinion is:
Positives:
As for washing, it's fine. For normally dirty clothes, the wash was acceptable.
Spin is quite good. The 1000 RPM is capable of spinning the clothes well.
Variety of programs (especially short programs that are a lifesaver if you want quick washes).
It does NOT look cheap as one would expect for its price. Its control panel does not differ from more expensive washing machines and has all the information needed, except for the remaining time... as there is no display.
Negatives:
In terms of operation, it makes more noise than the average washing machine, so it's best not to run it at night and disturb (if you live in an apartment), but the noise isn't terrible.
It tends to "walk" a bit when spinning, depending on how "smooth" your floor is. In my case, it moves a couple of centimeters at a time. Of course, it also plays a role that it is very light as a washing machine and perhaps the poor quality feet that don't have good anti-slip material.
Lastly, I left what puzzled me as a technician. When the wash starts and the motor begins to heat up, it starts to smell, without me being able to explain the type of smell. Not bad... nor does it smell like something is burning, but the smell is there.
I will give it some time, maybe it's the "newness" smell they talk about, from the motor's insulation, and I will see. If it persists, I will be cautious in case the smell changes to a "burnt" one so I can prevent situations. Unless it smells like that every time the motor runs and it's normal.
Anyway, it's strange because I don't remember ever encountering a washing machine that smells while working, even back when I was doing repairs professionally.
Overall, my opinion is good. I recommend it for its price, as it is very cheap. Whether it lasts over time will show... but in my hands, it will really work very little since, as I said, it's at the cottage, so I'm not the most suitable to express an opinion on that specific parameter.
