I bought it to use as a surge protector for the refrigerator. Time will tell if it does the job, but so far I have no complaints.

I have in my possession 2 more identical APC Surge arrest for years with flawless operation. I preferred it for the same reason because of its high Joule rating, as well as its fast (ns) response.

Without being able to evaluate them because I have only had them for a few weeks, the quality of the two I have purchased seems very good, especially in the plastic parts and durability. Now, in terms of reliability, if something really comes up, I will come back to it.
