The first thing one notices about the Gigaset AS690 is the distinctive design and the large, illuminated, black-and-white graphic display: large, easy-to-read digits, high contrast between the symbols, numbers, and letters displayed on a white and black background, ergonomic keyboard with illuminated keys, and a firm grip.
You can add them to the Incoming Call Block List (up to 20 numbers) for even greater convenience. At the same time, you can avoid anonymous calls (number concealment) with ring silencing, activate Silent Mode or Busy Line Mode.
The Gigaset AS690 makes communication easier: with up to 14 hours of battery life (talk time), you can be sure that nothing will interrupt your conversation! Additionally, the device incorporates a phonebook with 100 names, retains the last 25 incoming calls with date and time indications in its memory, and the standby time reaches up to 180 hours.
In the Gigaset AS690 list, you can manually add unwanted numbers or copy them directly from the call history. Additionally, you can block calls without caller ID and set time periods (thanks to the scheduling feature) for automatic activation and deactivation of the Ringer Silence.

I got it as a gift for relatives at their vacation home and it is very nice, however the only annoying thing is that the ringtone is almost inaudible. It is very low even at the loudest setting.

Very good device for a maisonette. Basically, with one phone you cover both floors. Good sound, user-friendly menu. The only downside is that while it is charging, the screen remains on (unless I haven't found the setting - which I haven't really looked for, to be honest)

Everything is fine with the device, but it has one crazy issue. When it is on the base, the screen never turns off, which is incredibly tiring if, for example, you have the device in the bedroom.
A classic Gigaset phone with great value for money and a simple menu. If you had the same phone before, like me, you won't have any difficulty in setting it up. One negative aspect is definitely the phonebook, which doesn't have Greek characters like the previous model. Although it has a Greek menu, it only applies to navigating between functions and not for entering names in the phonebook. Moreover, in the available languages, Greek is referred to as "Ellinika." It's simply disappointing. The device is lightweight, nice, a simple and cheap phone, just to have a telephone device at home. It definitely does its job. One negative aspect is also the fact that it was delivered without a receipt, so there is no warranty if any problem arises. This, of course, is not directly related to Skroutz, but only that their collaboration is problematic. Therefore, one star less for "Ellinika" and another one for the store that sent it. Overall, as a purchase, it's okay, we get the job done cheaply and in a simple way.
Good sound and range.
It does not recognize charged batteries like older, more economical models used to, it shows that the batteries are empty - they need to be charged! With a quick phone call, a bar drops, for example, because it does not have such an indication... if it did not have this issue with the batteries, it would be a good simple device.
If it was around 30 euros, it is very good, for the extra money I spent, I would try something else.
In the menu, you can find Greek, names are entered in English. It came in Spanish.

Good phone, better menu than Panasonic, as already mentioned, it does not have Greek for the directory names, unless I haven't found yet how to change the characters.... Several call sounds, beautiful, lightweight, sits very nicely in the hand, nice screen.
In time, it will show and I will come back if necessary.
Very good product. The only negative thing is that although it has a Greek menu, it doesn't have Greek characters on the keyboard, resulting in having to write names in Greeklish. That's it. It should have been mentioned in the description.
