I tried 4 different USB grabbers, all clones of EasyCAP (like this one), all with the same MACROSILICON chip (lsusb: Bus 001 Device 016: ID 534d:0021), and only this one worked well, without overexposure problems and delays in starting the recording.
It is used in Raspbian (Raspberry Pi 4b) installed in a car for the use of an external backup camera.

Very poor image quality, bad color representation, inexplicable white haze at the top and bottom of the screen.
I provide a comparison with the ATI TV Wonder 600 USB, which is considered one of the best ever released with S-Video connection to a professional JVC S-VHS, a source much superior to average use.
It DOES NOT have the ability to record with VirtualDub or Amarectv via VFW (Video for Windows) in uncompressed video, only with its own software at maximum MPEG2 quality at 8Mbps, even doing deinterlace on its own, very below average things.

If I could, I would give it zero stars. I bought it quickly without doing research because I wanted to digitize a cassette quickly, thinking that 6 euros for electronics in 2024 would be enough to record a signal image that existed even before man went to the moon. Well, I was wrong... The quality is terrible. Construction, image, use, sound, software, all terrible. It took me 3 hours to get it to work, trying drivers from various sources and putting it in every USB port available. I finally made it work but the image quality was garbage. It was losing frames, the sound was delayed, the image had stripes with different colors (not interlacing) and settings were not even for a sample. It may work for some because they have a model with a different chip inside. However, you cannot know what it has before you buy it as you have to open it and see what the processor says on top. It's better to get something that is tested. Startech has a good one in the same format. I paid 60 euros and got the GV-USB2 from I-O Data from Japan. Many say it is the best AV capture for under 100 euros.

Regardless of how fast your PC is. Apart from the very poor colors, it also brought a bunch of garbage and interference that did not exist in the source I was digitizing.
