For a proven GOOD way to use an NVMe M.2 SSD, I recommend a different enclosure.

The thermal paste included in the packaging of this enclosure is simply useless, and applying the disk to it is very difficult, if not impossible. It is very tight, and its connectors are deeply recessed. It took me over an hour to somehow install my disk.

The application was so bad that I thought I had burned the SSD while trying to make the computers recognize it. Not only did it not recognize the disk, but it also burned INCREDIBLY at the point where the disk was smelling and emitted a puff of smoke at some point. I tried it on 3 computers and it was NOT RECOGNIZED ANYWHERE until I changed the enclosure. It smelled so strongly for a while that I was afraid I had burned it!

In conclusion, I don't consider this enclosure just bad, but I also consider it DANGEROUS for the SSD.
