  The base is indeed stable and properly holds the phone, but the way it attaches to the steering wheel or handlebar, as in my case, is not correct. For better stability, they have used thin rubber sheets instead of a solid piece, resulting in slipping during installation of the base. Additionally, and more importantly, the lever that we turn by hand to tighten the base on the steering wheel or handlebar is located at the bottom, as shown in the photo, where you cannot reach and turn it with your hand. If you turn the base upside down to have the lever on top, then the phone faces backward. You get what you pay for.
