Description

DDR4 DIMM ram memory, operating voltage 1.20V for power saving and optimal thermal performance, designed to upgrade the ram of a compatible desktop computer and improve its overall performance. Suitable to support gaming and high-end multi-tasking. It is clocked at 2666MHz for higher bandwidth, overclocking resistance and faster data transfer.

DDR4

DDR4 is the fourth generation of RAM memory technology for computers. It replaces DDR3 and offers increased speed and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 2133MT/s to 4800MT/s, response time (CAS Latency) from CL 9 to CL 22, while its capacity has increased up to 32GB per memory unit.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger the size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for response time (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above characteristics should be compatible with our motherboard specifications.

The Crucial DDR4 provides speed at 2666MT/s, with CL19 and 8GB per memory unit.

Compatibility

DDR4 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. For example, DDR4 is compatible with Intel Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake series processors and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen and Threadripper series processors.

Cooling & Design

The low voltage operation of 1.2V combined with the memory height of 30mm, which is an ideal size to fit large CPU coolers, helps keep the memory at a low temperature even during demanding operations.

I wouldn't recommend overclocking it, as the memory modules don't cool down. If you're willing to spend a little more money, it would be good to look for Vengeance from Corsair.
