Professional catering here! I got a new pair that I've been using for a month now. I wore the same ones for 3 years but I changed them for a much better shoe (eurodan), which is hard to find for me, so I had to buy them again. On the positive side, they are fully non-slip, relatively stylish with a hard shell that protects from accidents and meet all the requirements for kitchen shoes. Their construction material is somewhat heavy but very durable.
Now, on the negative side, in terms of comfort they are initially good but progressively become mediocre. The insole has already started to "sink" in one month, so it will soon need to be replaced (~20€), rapidly increasing the cost. They are closed shoes that do not "breathe" so yes, they will smell, so for the 12-hour shifts, get a foot deodorant...

I see you saying that they broke in the middle, look at the way you bend your knees in front of the fridges to see that it is exactly where the breakage occurs. You mention the sole, it's normal and good for you to change the sole every season so they can last. The shoe is simply the best out there. Perhaps the only downside is the grooves on the sole that collect dirt, and if you forget to shake them off, you can easily slip.
