I don't know if it really collects moisture because, unlike other similar products where the beads dissolve and collect the water underneath, the beads of this one have dissolved but instead of water, a white powder has collected.

Poorly made. The silver wrapping is so well glued that it requires surgical precision to remove it without tearing the filter underneath!
