The instant water heater is a type of water heater that heats water in real-time. It only heats the water that passes through it at that moment. There is no hot water storage tank. This has many advantages, such as energy savings, since only the water that is used is heated, and longer lifespan, as there is no water tank and no accumulation of salts on the resistance and other components.
It operates with electricity and is single-phase.
The instant water heater has a cold water inlet pipe, which passes through the resistance, heats up, and exits through the hot water outlet pipe. A necessary condition for the instant water heater to initially operate is the pressure of the cold water inlet should not be too low.
The water temperature is regulated by a thermostat, so it does not exceed a maximum value. The temperatures that the hot water reaches are preset so that one can use the hot water directly, without needing to mix it with cold water.
The maximum temperature it can reach for hot water production is 60 °C, while the maximum water flow rate reaches up to 3 liters per minute. Indicatively, 38-42 °C degrees are standard for shower use.

It works well for 1-2 years and then needs replacement because it gets stuck on or has a leak or breaks at the plastic neck...

Sympathetic device. We bought it for hand washing in the winter. It's not for heavy use. It simply doesn't require high pressure in hot water because it can't heat it quickly, but it burns quite a bit even with very low flow. The handling is a bit difficult. The installation is easy. When the cold weather stops, we will switch back to the regular faucet and so on.
It is not reliable at all. It is the second one they have replaced for me and it started malfunctioning after 3 weeks, with one working and one not. Poor condition and not reliable at all.
It took longer to remove the previous battery than to install the osio. Very easy installation and it does exactly what it promises. It solved my problem of cracked hands from the cold water in the kitchen sink and will definitely save me energy since, in the absence of solar, I don't need to turn on the water heater every day. Very good faucet, the only negative is that it only has one outlet at the bottom, which means you cannot use hot water from an electric water heater or solar water heater. In other words, it does not have a switch for hot or cold water from the supply, but only for electricity.
update 18/2/2024: After about 20 months of light use, the On-Off of the faucet broke and stayed permanently on. It was replaced with a new one, which broke again after 2 months of lighter use, with the On-Off and the screen showing random things. When I contacted customer service the first time, they already knew about the issue with the On-Off before I even mentioned it! This particular product seems to have some issues.
