User of deco for many years, with amazing user experience that frees up your hands. All good if you have low speeds like 100-200mbs. I have switched to 1gbs fiber, and although the specifications of this particular one "can handle" such speeds, unfortunately on Wifi it goes up to 250mbs and ethernet 800-850mbs. With a quick search on google and tp link forum, the wifi problem is known with zero solutions that actually work. I should point out that with a connection to the modem's Wifi I reach around 900+mbs. As soon as I connect to the deco, it drops to 250mbs. So, a big disappointment, and they don't take it back because they say it's working properly. Shame
Excellent indeed, technology has advanced a lot and I was left behind, "playing" with repeaters and APs here and there.
Specifically, the feature of the P9 is that it uses both wifi and powerline for communication between nodes. The truth is, I don't know how much of a difference it makes (and whether it uses one technology more than the other in my own space), so I can't tell you to prefer it over the M4, for example.
I can definitely say that it works flawlessly. ~95/100mbits everywhere in the house with perfect WIFI coverage.
Average for its price.
Half a break and you're screwed because it starts having strokes.
Otherwise, it's better than a simple repeater, but I don't know if this break can be fixed
Use for 3 weeks. I have the triple and I have divided them into three floors, each 80m2, and the signal is strong and stable everywhere. I didn't believe it would do such a good job. Since it started operating, the Wi-Fi and speeds are much more stable than before, even if I was next to the router. I will also connect 4 for the yard now that it's getting warmer. The connection is simple, immediate, and very fast. The appearance is perfect, the build quality is impeccable. I'm thinking of getting a double for the office too. I highly recommend it to you.
I had heard good things about it but it was expensive. Luckily, I happened to come across it on sale and I also had a gift voucher, so I bought it. Literally the best. I have turned off the wifi on the router and we only connect through these. One is on the router and the other is next to the PC, which initially had ethernet through powerline but I connected it with ethernet to the deco and it gets much better speeds! This one is directly plugged into a socket, the other one on the router is on a power strip. The instructions said directly into a socket, but the store told me it doesn't matter, I think the P9 works better if it's on its own in a socket, unfortunately it's not possible on the router. Still, it works perfectly fine!
Expensive but does its job well. It uses the power network or wifi to extend the network (wireless and wired).
The lack of antivirus, which has a different series from the same company, and the high price are the negatives.
Parental control, QoS, and black list are the positives of the device.
