All the positives that the previous reviewers mentioned are 100% true. Beautiful, small, quiet, and effective. However, mine also made this squeaking noise when it turned (only at the end of one side) and it saddened me because it was very annoying and canceled out all the advantages that were mentioned.

But, because it was a bit too small for my hands, I looked into what was causing it. Well, it's a very small design flaw, meaning that the cable located in the rotating base is 2-3 millimeters smaller than it should be, causing it to stretch and rub against the plastic casing of the fan and make a squeaking noise when the fan turns at the end of one side.

I sprayed a small amount of silicone spray that I had at the spot I'm showing in the photo and the problem disappeared! It has been working silently and flawlessly for days now. Thankfully, because the fan is really good :)

WARNING: It is not 40cm in diameter (which is the classic diameter of a household fan) in reality the diameter is ONLY 34.3cm.
The result is that in terms of intensity, it has no comparison to a regular fan. Okay, it is quiet but it is so tiny that if it made noise, it would be useless.

Another detail worth mentioning is that although it is stated to have adjustable height, it is only approximate. Either you have it at 63cm or at 100cm. There is nothing in between. And this is because the base comes in 2 "columns" that you either connect or only use one (to make it a table fan).

If it didn't have the smart home factor that interests me, I would have sent it back where it came from!

  On the positive side, it has stairs from almost completely silent to powerful. It is beautiful and the WiFi connectivity is convenient.

  On the negative side, it is relatively short and cannot be raised, while the build quality does not justify the price. Out of the 4 I bought, 2 came defective. One had the cable rubbing inside when rotating because it was not properly secured, the other had one of the 4 motor screws loose and made a rattling noise. I had to open them up and fix them myself, so as not to go through the hassle of returning them. Their materials and construction (e.g. screws directly on the plastic cover, without even a washer) are cheap, not designed to withstand the test of time.
