I bought a 9,000 BTU and a 12,000 BTU unit in June 2022 for two different rooms. I have only used them for cooling. (UPDATE: I have also used the units for heating - they heat the room well, with the same noise levels as in cooling mode, without any creaking. They take a little while to reach the desired temperature, which is expected.)

The most important thing for me was the low noise level of the indoor unit. Indeed, it is very low. Especially at low speed, the noise of the fan is not bothersome at all, even though the unit (9,000 BTU) in the bedroom is about 1.5 meters above my pillow. The 9,000 BTU unit did make a strange noise at one point, but it was resolved with a simple off/on.

The outdoor unit also has a low noise level, although it is slightly high-pitched. However, it doesn't bother me because it is not installed on the balcony or in a space where someone would be right next to it.

As for filters, it only has the basic washable cloth filter. Nothing else (a big downside for me).

There are 4 fan speeds: silent, low, mid, and high, with high being quite loud. Once the room reaches the desired temperature, the fan speed decreases.

Note that despite the fact that the indoor units of the 9,000 BTU and 12,000 BTU have the exact same dimensions, the 12,000 BTU unit has a significantly higher indoor fan speed (= higher air flow) on the high scale.

The vertical louvers can be manually adjusted left and right (obvious for this price range).

Plastic noises are not heard at all (although I think they are more noticeable during heating operation).

For those who want illuminated buttons and LED indicators like Michael Night's KIT, forget it. Here, the indoor unit has 2 white LED lights (with mild illumination - important for the bedroom in complete darkness).

The remote control works from literally anywhere, even without being directed towards the unit. It is comprehensive yet simple (and tested to withstand falls from a height of 1.5 meters).

I didn't care about Wi-Fi at all. I enter the room, turn it on, and it's ready in 2 minutes.

Unfortunately, this series is exclusively made in Turkey. The "unfortunately" only applies to our national pride, because otherwise the build quality is good.

I had in mind the slightly more expensive Mitsubishi HEAVY INDUSTRIES series, which are considered a "heavier" series made in Thailand. However, I learned that due to higher costs, the Greek market doesn't work much with them, resulting in significantly lower technical support and spare parts delivery times.

Pay attention to the installation (this applies to all air conditioners) in order to:
- Ensure proper ventilation in the circuit, otherwise you will hear a slight snoring sound during operation.
- The piping should not exceed the maximum recommended length, should be insulated with gray non-adhesive synthetic fabric tape (NOT the wide adhesive insulation that will deteriorate and dissolve in 2 years, even if it's not exposed to sunlight!!!), and should have enough slack to collect almost a full coil behind the outdoor unit to accommodate expansion and contraction.

I have the Mitsubishi Electric MSZ/MUZ HR25VF, 9000Btu, purchased in December 2023, with the recycling program, costing 610 Euros.
It was installed in a 4.2m x 3.3m bedroom in a country house.
The heating performance is DISAPPOINTING. It simply cannot handle the cold. It does not have the heating power that a Toyotomi (9000btu), a Carrier (12000 btu), and an Inventor (9000btu) have, which I have in my house. Additionally, it does not warm up the bedroom like the air-conditioner it replaced (a Firstline), which was purchased from Carrefour.
The temperature it produces (measured with a digital thermometer, with a K sensor) from the grilles, on the fourth (highest) setting, is low compared to the other air conditioners mentioned above.
Specifically, the 9,000 Btu Toyotomi (two years old), with an external temperature of 12 degrees, produces 48-52 degrees Celsius on the highest fan setting.
The 9,000 Btu Mitsubishi, with an external temperature of 18 degrees (in the shade, as it was a spring day outside), reaches a maximum of 48 degrees Celsius on the highest fan setting. It fails to raise the temperature enough for you to stay in the bedroom wearing just a t-shirt, even on a spring day outside.
Furthermore, it takes a long time to warm up and start, maybe even five minutes.
After the disastrous experience I had with the Mitsubishi air conditioner, I called the company I purchased it from, which is also the importer of Mitsubishi, for further inspection and resolution of the problem.
The evaluation continues after the actions taken by the company.
I hope the problem is with my unit and can be resolved.

  It does not have the 'I feel' function that the older Mitsubishi Electric models had, which cooled and removed humidity at the same time. With this air conditioner, we get humid and we don't know what is causing it. I think it's the high humidity.

  1. Inside the upper right part of the right filter, there is a hidden box with a barcode on top.
  2. Download the Melcloud application and create an account (enter email - confirm, etc.)
  Press the button (which is also inside as the instructions say) with the WPS (your router's button)
  As soon as the two devices connect, a message will appear.
  It may take a little effort to connect (the air conditioner's wifi with the home router, but if you press the button on the back of your router twice, a message will appear on the internal unit that they have connected.
  3. THEN scan the barcode from the Melcloud application that we mentioned is in the box next to and above the right filter.
  4. Then enter some information that the Melcloud application asks for and you're OK.

  Now about the machine
  Unfortunately, it is from Turkey and due to the price, I would not have bought it if I knew.
  (However, even Daikin is from Turkey or Malaysia.
  Only their very expensive models are from the Czech Republic)
  It is 18000btu and cost 1360€ with installation and a 5-year store warranty.
  The remote control is a joke.
  Completely useless for such a machine.
  I chose Mitsubishi because my friends and relatives abroad are COMPLETELY SATISFIED with the noise, performance, and consumption.
  Also, refrigeration technicians only recommended Mitsubishi or Daikin.
  I had reservations about choosing TCL, which has a Mitsubishi motor but is more energy-consuming and has more noise (I have a 9000 btu in the village for 23 years without maintenance and it works perfectly)
  I still can't tell you about consumption, but for cooling in a unified space of about 43 sqm with a 5.20-meter balcony door but with good triple-glazed windows and insulation, it is EXCELLENT.
  I consider it expensive but reliable in the long run, as they have told me

  You get what you pay for. Yes, it is an expensive air conditioner for the features it has. It doesn't have automatic blind movement (you have to do it manually). Yes, the remote control doesn't have backlight, it doesn't have wifi, it doesn't have special programs. However, it is a quiet air conditioner, it takes a little while to get started but it performs well in the heating mode that I have tested. I would like it to be a little more powerful in heating, meaning that when you set it to 25 degrees, it should emit hot air so that you can walk around in short sleeves. But if you imagine that I have it in a 12 sqm room and I leave the door open, despite the many intermediate doors and partitions, it manages to raise the temperature by 3 degrees Celsius in the kitchen, which is at the other end of the house, in 30 minutes. This means that it performs well. Good choice and above all, QUIET.

  I bought the 9000btu and 18000btu for my house, at 450 and 850 euros respectively, which I believe is a very good price for Mitsubishi quality. Excellent in cooling and very good in heating! Quiet, it doesn't make any noise. You should know that it takes 5 minutes to start for safety reasons and it doesn't rotate the blinds left and right through the remote control, you have to do it manually (although from what I saw, almost all of them work like this), and for this minus one star.

  I installed it last week in the 9,000 btu version. I am satisfied because it is quiet and cools well. These are the two things I wanted. Apart from this Mitsubishi, which is the cheapest in the range, I already have 3 others which are the most expensive in the range (2 9,000 btu and 1 24,000 btu). There is indeed a difference in performance (in the feeling they leave you) compared to the "cheap" one, but in no case such as to justify the double and more price of my other 9,000 btu units. As for the noise, they all range almost at the same (quiet) levels. It is a very value for money choice that I highly recommend to everyone.

  Owner of the 18000 btu air conditioner and after a year and a half of use, I have the following to say:
  It is a machine without many extra features compared to the competition and specifically it does not have a temperature indicator on the indoor unit, it does not have an ionizer, it does not have 500 filters, it has a remote control that dates back to the early 1990s and it is not illuminated. However, when it comes to performance, it is excellent, especially in cooling and it is truly QUIET, not just on paper like various others that promise silent operation. Both the outdoor and indoor units are truly quiet. I bought it for a large living room and it reaches the rooms as well. A reliable machine with exceptional performance.
  It should be noted that it has been tested during heatwaves of 40+ degrees and it immediately reaches the desired temperature. That's it

  For the 24,000 BTU. I installed it in the living room and kitchen, which are connected, and it also reaches the bedrooms... 80 square meters. The most important thing is that it is quiet both inside and outside, especially outside where the 9,000 BTU Toyotomi units I have in the bedrooms make more noise. In the cold, I will come back in the summer, with 0 degrees outside, I have it at 24 degrees and I'm wearing a t-shirt. I hope it doesn't consume a lot of electricity... if it is really economical as it claims, then it is definitely a perfect purchase... Update 18-08-2021, tested during the heatwaves, I have to say it's worth every euro... it controls the whole house just on its own economy mode and there's nothing special on the bill. I bought it on Black Friday and it turned out to be not just a purchase but an investment. Made in Thailand, not Turkey. I recommend it.

  Installed in a relatively large room with the purpose of covering the same but also an additional small space, it has left me satisfied. The space quickly reaches the desired temperature. What impressed me, though, is that it is quiet. As an owner of three air conditioners, 2 Mitsubishi and one Fujitsu, I have to say that this particular brand is worth it from many perspectives. I compared the sound I hear in the room from the Fujitsu 9000 BTU and the Mitsubishi 24000 BTU, with the difference being that the latter is on the floor and not on the wall, and the difference was significant. At first, I thought that it was because one is on the floor and that's why it sounds quieter. When I got this Mitsubishi air conditioner and installed it on the wall, I realized that it's not only about where you place it, but also about what you get! It is extremely quiet compared to what I had and what I had heard from many others.

  Pros:
  Very good performance
  Quiet
  Simple and sleek design

  Cons:
  It does not come equipped with the 100 features that other lower-priced ones have, but it depends on what each person wants. Although this one has the ability to be connected to WiFi, the cost of the company's installation kit is twice as much as others, around 70 euros compared to 20-30 euros, but it's not something necessary since it cools the room in 10 minutes.

  If you can afford to pay the extra money it costs, don't get any other brand. It's worth it and more.
