It is my first stylus, so my review may not mean much because I cannot compare it to something I have used before, but maybe this review will help people who are looking for their first stylus like me.
Overall, I think it is worth its price for its functions and size compared to the technical specifications of other competitor styluses, and that is why I bought this one. It has not presented any problems in the month that I have had it. Of course, its size caught me off guard since it does not fit on the desk next to the keyboard, so I had to get another desk.
The installation was simple, I went to the company's website to download the application and the installation was done. The connection is very simple and can be done with the USB-C to USB-A cable or with a Bluetooth dongle (both included).
The pressure of the stylus is adjustable within the application, meaning how hard you press the stylus and what the computer shows is adjustable. This helped me a bit since I hesitate to press too hard on the surface, so I have adjusted it to be more sensitive, but it also comes with 8 additional tips.
I was impressed by the application of the stylus that allows you to change what each button on the stylus corresponds to and on the pen. It can be a simple button on the keyboard like a regular "K", a combination of keys like Alt+F4 (in case you want to play League with a stylus for some reason), or a sequence of commands (up to 20 commands) like Alt+Ctrl+Del, Down, Down, Down, Down, Tab, Tab, Tab, Tab, Return, Down, Return. This command closes the computer...
Any of the buttons on the stylus can be customized to change its wheel modes. The wheel itself has 4 modes: Zoom, Scroll, Brush Size, Rotate, but anyone can customize their own mode. For example, instead of Scroll, I can create a mode where when I turn the wheel clockwise it writes "YES" and counterclockwise it writes "NO". This is useful, for example, if someone is working with Premiere and wants to use the wheel to fast forward or rewind the video. The possibilities are truly limitless. I don't know if other applications from other companies (Wacom, Intuos) have the same capabilities, but this impressed me in this one.
It also solved another question I had about what happens when I switch between applications frequently, and the answer is that each application, like Photoshop, Blender, or games, can have their own profile on the stylus, and the profiles activate automatically when you switch applications. Very convenient, you set it up and forget that the application exists.
In terms of ergonomics, it seems to be good for those who hold the pen with their right hand and have their left hand on the left side for the buttons and the wheel. I cannot imagine how someone would use it with the pen in their left hand and the right hand on the right side for the wheel and buttons. It is possible, but not convenient.
I bought it from XPPEN because of the discount as an educator. It's worth the money. The only downside is that the glove is for right-handed people. I recommend it for professional use for educators, although you will struggle at first with the new way of writing compared to traditional pen and paper.
I received it and immediately started painting. As a test in the beginning until I learn it, it's my first digitizer.
The truth is, I was worried at first that it wouldn't work on the Ubuntu I have (I don't want to go back to Windows for any reason after so many years).
Also, because I'm now learning digital painting (because I don't have a steady hand), it does the job better for me. I don't even need to look at the digitizer to work on it. I believe it's worth every penny and more.
