Description

The Seagate Momentus Thin is a 2.5 HDD hard drive, with a capacity of 500GB and rotational speed of 5400 RPM. This speed is recommended for storing data that is not frequently used (e.g. for backups).
It operates with the communication protocol SATA III and is recommended for home use. It is the most modern SATA standard and the motherboard must support it for the disk to operate at its maximum capabilities. It can be connected without any problem to SATA II ports, but it will work at lower speeds. Additionally, the disk can be installed in a Playstation 4.
For installation in a desktop computer, you will need a SATA III data cable and an available SATA port on the motherboard. You will also need an available power supply cable for the SATA device from the power supply. For installation in a laptop, no cables are needed and the disk simply plugs into the SATA slot. To replace the disk in a Playstation 4, follow the instructions provided by SONY, depending on the model you have. You can find all the relevant information by searching for "PS4: Upgrading the hard disk drive (HDD)" on the official Playstation website.

It has been installed on laptops by the manufacturer in thousands.... thankfully, it is excellent in terms of reliability... but in terms of speed... my animals are slow... SSD is the minimum they can do to dramatically increase the speed of an old laptop... no matter how much memory you have, no matter if you have the best processor in the world... if you have a turtle-like disk, everything will crawl... end.

I just bought the product and installed it on a laptop. The hard drive works fine and its speed is good. The only issue I had was that on the laptop (a Sony Vaio less than two years old), although the system recognized the hard drive, it couldn't boot from it. I loaded the defaults in the BIOS, but it still didn't work. I had to change the BIOS settings to legacy for the hard drives, and then it worked.
