I had a Crypto Airmouse 200 before this one, which had the same layout, and I hoped it was just a rebranding. But that one allowed you to program any button to send commands via IR. So essentially, you could operate a media center and a TV with just one remote control. This one only allows programming of the colored buttons, and the process is more difficult than that of the crypto. Okay, that's a bit of a downside... If that were the only issue, I would give it four stars because it is convenient. But beyond that, it doesn't work even at one meter distance, while the crypto worked at 4 meters with minimal loss. I might have gotten a defective remote, but I can't give it more than 2 stars, and that second star is because the illuminated buttons that the crypto didn't have were indeed very useful.
