Stevia (botanical name Stevia rebaudiana) is a plant species from Brazil and Paraguay. It contains a substance called steviol and has several times the sweetening power of sugar. It is used in many countries as an alternative sweetener.

The sweet taste of its leaves has been known for centuries and is used as a natural sweetener. In recent years, the stevia plant and its leaves have gained popularity due to increased demand for low-sugar and low-calorie options. Stevia-based sweeteners do not provide energy (calories) and do not contain carbohydrates, making them suitable for individuals who want to reduce or maintain their weight.

Studies have shown that sweeteners with few or zero calories can contribute to weight control as they reduce the caloric content of the diet. They do not affect blood glucose, so they can be consumed by people with diabetes.

• 5 drops equal 1 small spoon of sugar.
• 20 ml equals 100 grams of sugar.

Usage: Cereal, ice cream, coffee, tea, smoothies, food and many other uses.

Store in a dark and shaded place at a temperature of 5C to 25C degrees Celsius. Do not heat above 250 degrees Celsius.
