I used raw meat as bait and threw in some pieces of orange/carrot. It ate everything.
The cage is made of metal, painted to look like stainless steel but it's not. In terms of sturdiness, it can easily withstand a simple mouse but for a rat, it may not withstand something so big for long without reinforcing it, because as soon as they are caught, they go crazy and bite everything to get out. If you are going to tie the trap somewhere, obviously don't use ropes because it will definitely cut them in 1 minute.

I put Rock-For and with the lighter a little warm up to smell smoky (instead of plain yellow cheese like Gouda) I caught 5 rats that are much bigger than mice.
The trap is properly made so that when the door closes, the rodent cannot open it again when it pushes the door because it has a small iron piece that "locks" the door as soon as it closes, so it cannot escape from the inside. Just make sure to place it correctly during application.
Once the rodent is caught, the trap becomes like a long pair of tongs so that you can grab the trap while the rodent is still alive inside and not be afraid of being bitten, well, you're still afraid but it's safe due to its sufficient length.
Once caught inside the trap, then in a whole basin, fill the trap with water and the rodent (if you live in a city without the possibility of transportation, otherwise release it in nature, in the forest) and goodbye, the rodent dies within 2-5 minutes.
