Overall, it's worth the money, the first one is very good but the driving annoyed me, the second one is incredible, my favorite in all aspects: story, world, protagonist, the third one is interesting but very repetitive, yet in an amazing world with a legendary soundtrack
Mafia I is okay. It has a good storyline and nice graphics, although both the missions and the duration of the game show its age.
Mafia II is just a disappointment. Terrible graphics at the level of PS2. It's a complete joke.
Mafia III is the best of the trilogy in terms of graphics, missions, and storyline.
Overall, it's not worth buying. If you find it for free on PS Plus, then Mafia I and III are decent enough to pass the time.
In my opinion, you won't miss out on anything great if you don't get the package and just get the standalone Mafia 1. The first Mafia is fantastic both in terms of gameplay and graphics. A lot of work went into the remake and it was essentially made from scratch. In the other two, you won't see any significant difference compared to the originals.
The Mafia 3 that I bought separately is an absolute failure.
No comparison to Mafia 1 and 2.
They should have upgraded the graphics, story, and gameplay, but it gave me the feeling that I was playing Mafia 1 and maybe even worse.
I played for only half an hour and it was a great shame for me not to uninstall it.
The only thing worth mentioning in 3 is its music of my generation.
Everything is good and nice with the game (or rather the games), it's just supposed to include a poster in the package, but mine didn't have anything like that! Other than that, all three games are pretty good and at the price range of 25-30€ that this trilogy is currently available, it's definitely worth checking out if you're interested in this type of games.
Regarding Mafia 1, it's an amazing game, great graphics, incredible story, very enjoyable gameplay, not particularly difficult, a cinematic experience! Congratulations to the company, I hope they continue to release such remakes with such great work! As for Mafia 2, they did a rushed job, just a simple polish on the graphics, gameplay is a bit old-fashioned, but the worst part was struggling to install it as it wouldn't let me play any other chapter besides the first one. After a lot of searching on the internet, I managed to find a solution, but that wasn't the only issue. The game had some problems and would throw me back to the beginning of the mission where it got stuck, but eventually, the game smoothed out. In terms of the story, it's amazing though, and a great game! The DLCs annoyed me incredibly, they are repetitive missions with timers that seem to have been made just to keep you busy for a long time until you complete them. As for Mafia 3, it's an underrated game. Personally, I spent many enjoyable hours with the game as it is huge. Many rich missions that you never get bored of, many things to do, plenty of gunplay, and some DLC missions with elements of mystery and horror, as well as some in the jungle. It's an open-world game in the style of GTA where you work for the mafia bosses. The representation of the era is perfect, and the soundtrack is awesome! The only negative aspect is some bugs that wouldn't let me start certain side missions. In short, the package at the price you offer is a steal, I would buy it with closed eyes!
A trilogy with many possibilities that unfortunately were not utilized in any way... As for the first one: nice atmosphere and characters, I often felt like I was playing in a movie. Good story. However, mediocre gameplay, relatively short duration (although personally it didn't bother me), and the big negative for me is that it had several technical issues, it felt like it was released before being fully completed... As for the second one: personally, I finished it on the PS3 and it's one of my favorite games as it transports you very well to that era and has an exceptional story. However, the graphics were average even for that time and unfortunately they haven't improved them, just like the gameplay... Now, for the third one: this is the biggest disappointment for me and the reason for such a low rating. Everything in this game feels unfinished except for the story. There are countless technical problems, crashes, graphical glitches, terrible lighting and sound errors, everything takes a long time to load, etc. Unfortunately, I see this happening more and more instead of these issues being improved, we see them in more and more games and they rush to fix them with updates. When a game is released, it should be ready! Not waiting to see if and when it will be fixed while you already have it in your hands, as we saw in Cyberpunk 2077, which was even worse. In my opinion, if someone takes these into consideration and doesn't have a problem, they are good games and you will enjoy them. I don't regret it, I just can't help but mention such major flaws... I hope I helped!
3 stars because it is very little, I finished it in 2 days easily, it only has 20 missions and then you can't do anything (I am referring to the latest version of Mafia Definitive Edition). Let's move on to number 2, they have improved the graphics somehow, but the gameplay is very behind. As for number 3, it remains the same, personally I didn't like it. That's it!
First of all, I have to say that the packaging of the game is very beautiful with the slide case and the poster, with three separate discs, each game in its own.
In the first game, they made a good effort in the graphics, but in the second one, they completely failed, everything was wrong and because of the very bad experience, I gave this rating. Even the sound was awful. Fortunately, in the third game, everything is fine (there is no difference between the third game and the latest version that was released separately).
Overall, they are games with a good story, although in the first two, you don't have the option to freely explore the city, only in terms of missions. That's why I prefer the third game, which also has interesting side quests.
It is the perfect way to immerse yourself in a aspect of gaming that has not been properly exploited and then have the three games offer you incredible stories with excellent sound design and Hollywood-like scenes... The games may seem a bit outdated at first glance, but this is an issue that can be solved... The gameplay is honest without any major innovations in all three games.... With €50, you manage to get a very nice remake, a remastered version, and one of the most underrated games of this generation... It's worth it
The first one with fully upgraded graphics, good story but a bit small. The second one has a small change but a good plot. The third one has some bugs but it has a very nice story, quite long and repetitive but worth it. 19/20 score for me
Well, it's a good comeback to remember Mafia 1 with excellent graphics upgrade, but even with the update that the game asks for when you put it on the ps4, at some point when you play either in 1 or in the other two, it has annoying lag frames... Expensive, therefore, with this issue. Also, in Mafia 2, the game froze on me a few times and I had to close and reopen the game... Shame.. As for 3, it had many bugs everywhere and it tired me out even though I finished it. Many crashes
