Summary The implementation of the "School for All" primarily requires an understanding of disability. Only the study of its variations will allow educators, psychologists, special educators, social workers, parents, and social partners to effectively address the educational needs of students with or without disabilities, as well as empower them psychosocially within the framework of joint education. This monograph moves in this direction, focusing on intellectual disability. The presentation of contemporary research data and different scientific approaches will help each reader understand what intellectual disability truly is and how a person with intellectual disability can be educated. Specifically, this work is structured in two parts. The First Part attempts an interdisciplinary interpretation of the term "intellectual disability," as its complexity and historical trajectory—interwoven with the existence of humanity—make it necessary. The Second Part highlights themes related to the education of individuals with intellectual disability, as social coexistence with them is exclusively a matter of education.
