Description

The latest model with the signature of Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammet is the LTD KH-WZ White Zombie, a version of Kirk's guitar featuring artwork from the classic horror film "White Zombie" by Bela Lugosi.

It features an Alder body, maple neck, Macassar Ebony fingerboard with bat and spider inlays, Floyd Rose bridge, and active EMG pickups.

Its overall features make it a suitable choice for guitarists involved in metal and hard rock.

EMG Bone Breaker HH Pickups (Humbucker-Humbucker)

This layout includes two EMG Bone Breaker humbucker pickups, which are mounted in the position of the central pickup and the bridge pickup of the guitar.

The humbucker pickups offer better response to low frequencies and bass sound, as well as greater resistance to noise. This makes the guitar suitable for loud riffs and solos.

Active pickups

Equipped with active pickups, which require a battery to operate. The advantages of active pickups compared to passive ones are that they almost eliminate noise and have a high output signal, resulting in a quite clear and "massive" sound.

Fingerboard made of Macassar Ebony

It closely resembles rosewood both in appearance and sound, Macassar Ebony produces a deep rich sound with sweet yet sharp highs.

Body made of durable Alder wood & neck made of Maple

The Alder body offers a warm and full sound, while the Maple neck adds a modern element to the overall sound of the guitar. It is a time-tested combination of woods for exceptional tonal versatility.

Carrying & Storage Case

The carrying and storage case included with the LTD KH-WZ White Zombie electric guitar features a hard shell and graphics made by the Tombstone Case Company.

Collaboration with Kirk Hammett

The famous Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett began his collaboration with ESP in 1991, when the company offered him a custom guitar for Metallica's then-new album, "The Black Album." Since then, Hammett has worked closely with ESP to create his signature models.

Hammett's guitars from ESP usually feature unique body designs and often have his signature on the headstock. His guitars are typically made from mahogany or alder and feature a Floyd Rose tremolo.

I was looking at it and drooling over it for years, until I recently acquired it. The guitar is wonderful both aesthetically and in sound. It's the first time I have a guitar with EMG pickups, and especially these Bonebreakers really rock. Don't expect to play blues and jazz with this guitar; it's for heavy metal and rock situations. I give it 2 small negatives. The first, due to the Floyd Rose, is that changing strings is a bit difficult, and the second is that the guitar is heavy, really heavy, so it's good to try it standing up before buying. Lastly, I must say that the carrying case is worth every penny. Beautiful and high-quality, whether you are a metalhead or not.
