Water soluble

The POSCA paint is "water soluble": it can be diluted to create a gradient effect. This process happens before drying: use a brush that you have previously soaked in water and work the color directly onto the material to achieve the desired result.

Color mixing

As long as the paint is wet, colors can be mixed on the work surface by smudging with the tip or with a brush to create endless color gradients. If the tip gets dirty, simply clean it and use the marker again to restore the original color.

Ideal for layering

Thick and opaque, the POSCA paint is perfect for layering! Dark colors can be applied over light colors or light over dark. Thanks to the quick drying time, layering can be done without smudging. Before applying the next layer, make sure the already applied color is completely dry.

Prepare the Posca marker

Shake the marker up and down vigorously with the cap on. You will hear the ball inside moving. This indicates that the paint inside the POSCA marker is mixing.

Test the marker

Gently press the back of the marker down until the paint flows down. Be careful, as pressing too many times may release more paint than needed, causing it to run around the tip. Repeat the process when the tip needs paint.

Storage conditions

POSCA markers can be stored in any position, provided that the cap is replaced after use. The ball inside the marker is used for mixing the paint, which is perfectly maintained inside the marker. The POSCA PCF-350 with a brush tip should be stored horizontally if possible.
