Excellent for its cost.
The bracelet does not have the best quality in the links, but it has a nice finish and looks much better on the wrist. The clasp of the bracelet could definitely be better both in its function and in how solid and durable it appears. It is the classic recipe with a thin metal sheet. It does not have micro-adjustment positions, but it has a length-adjustable function by pressing two buttons, which, although it does not look sturdy, ultimately works amazingly in practice as you wear the watch. When during the day or while sleeping you want to loosen the bracelet a bit, you can do it in a simple and quick way without even taking the watch off your wrist.
The case has a good finish, nothing impressive.
The bezel insert (the rotating ring) although it is aluminum and not ceramic - so it does not look luxurious and will likely wear out more easily - has this very nice hue and finish that depending on the lighting can appear from dark green to black many times.
The glass is hardened glass and not sapphire, so it will require a bit more care against impacts and scratches (now that Chinese copies of a well-known watch have the above characteristics (ceramic bezel insert and sapphire crystal) and a significantly better bracelet for 1/3 of the money, one would expect to find them in this particular watch).
Overall, while the watch is not something that impresses when you handle it off the wrist (by no means is it bad or mediocre), it ultimately looks amazing when worn and is very convenient. Its accuracy is very good (it has lost 30" over a period of about 2.5 weeks).
Let’s not forget that it is waterproof to depths of up to 200m (not that we all do deep diving), which is not easily found in watches of this price.
In the end, it is a very nice choice, excellent I would say for its price.
All my life I usually wore simple watches like Casio and Swatch, and not every day. I decided to get a quality bracelet for all occasions. It is very beautiful, it sits nicely on the wrist. The only negative thing that someone might consider is the size. It is not small, but it could be a little bigger. Other than that, it is gorgeous and worth it with the little research I did.
THE WATCH IS WORTH EVERY EURO. One of the best watches I have ever bought!! Perfect phosphorescent color in the dark, sturdy on the wrist, beautiful and suitable for all wrist sizes (small, large) it is small. You buy it with closed eyes, no comparison to the photo, it is much better in person
I do not wear diver watches because I find them heavy, and the water protection is useless unless you dive with them and take care of them. Also, in order to adjust the time, you have to unscrew the screw-down crown.
Nevertheless, I bought this diver watch just to have one, since the skx007 has been discontinued and not replaced.
It is sturdy and heavy as I expected, do not be deceived by the size, it wears like a 39mm, with a small dial, the bracelet does not rattle and is relatively good, it also has a quick length adjustment, diver-like.
I bought it when it came out and it has the old movement, it can be wound from the crown but does not have hacking, the newer ones have it, meaning when you pull the crown for adjustment, it stops working and is easier to adjust. In my case, it has excellent accuracy, the most accurate mechanical watch I have, in winter it gains +1sec/day and in summer it loses -1sec/day, of course, this is also lucky.
The bezel rotates nicely with 1-minute clicks, it is deep green and appears black in dim light.
Overall, I did not expect it to be this good, as disadvantages I find the lume to be nothing special and they have chosen it to be bluish-green when charged while the bezel is green, it would be better if they had the lume of the ny0040 and in shades of green.
Another thing is that the date is discreet (black) but difficult to read, it is not a good font, it is small and faded, no comparison to the Seiko watches where it is very clear.
I bought it for around €170
I bought this watch for everyday use. Visually, it is very nice and fits well on the wrist. The dark green on the bezel adds to its appearance. The bracelet is more than decent (no comparison to bracelets from other major watch brands that feel like aluminum foil). It's nice that they have placed minute markers on the sides of the dial, up to the case, which shows attention to detail. The embossed logo on the crown is also very nice. The bracelet allows for extension for diving suits, but if you don't use it for that purpose, you can use it to adjust the bracelet to fit as tightly as you want on your wrist. As for the pros (even though it states 8203), it also has hacking. I was worried about the accuracy. When I opened the box, I was surprised to see that it was working, even though it had traveled for so many days (the second hand was not in the correct position). I set it and it gained 5 minutes in a few days. I reset it to the correct time and after two months, I haven't had to touch it again. It may have gained 1-2 minutes at most, but nothing for its price. I didn't expect it to look so nice on the wrist. I am very satisfied...
As for the negatives for anyone considering buying it (they don't bother me at all): 1. There is a very small gap between the day and date, which can be seen in the light (you can see silver in between). 2. In complete silence, you can hear the sound of the mechanism, like something metallic rotating (I actually like it). These are my impressions
Perhaps the most value for money automatic watch from Citizen that is available... and for only 200 euros! Compact, sturdy, not big but not small in size, and with fantastic luminescent color in the dark!
By far one of the most durable watches. For their price, around 200 to 200 something, they are top-notch. Classic automatic mechanism that is now considered state of the art for a watch. In the era of smart watches, it is a completely unique and special piece to wear.
Very comfortable, lightweight, looks premium. Clean fonts, embossed logo on the crown. Although the bracelet feels light and "cheap" on the hand, on the contrary, it has very good construction (even an extension for the diving suit) and a very nice matte color. In no way can you perceive (unless you hold it and feel its weight) that it is a watch in the range of €180-200.
In my opinion, the best diving watch in this price range. It has several similarities with the legendary Seiko SKX, although I believe that this particular one excels in more basic aspects (such as build quality and a sense of sturdiness, the mechanism (this one has the Miyota 8203), the feel of the bezel rotation and the ability to wind it using the crown). In terms of timekeeping, mine is within +/- 5 seconds per day (the more you wear and use it, the timekeeping noticeably improves). But this is purely a matter of luck. You can easily see +/- 12... However, even this deviation is perfectly fine considering the price. If you want absolute accuracy, you need to go for Quartz or Eco-Drive. Among the few negatives that I can find, which prevent it from being a perfect 5/5, are the quality of the bracelet (which can be easily replaced, so no problem) and the crown at the "8" position, which may seem a bit strange and confusing at first during winding. Perhaps also the fact that the movement is non-hacking (which is natural for its age), something that personally doesn't bother me.
