Very nice addition with an extra Goomba! The only downside in my opinion is that the constructions of the series are fixed by design and you just combine units. They don't inspire different builds like classic LEGO
If the child is familiar with Lego constructions, they can build the track even at the age of 5! My son is 6 and he can easily build them on his own with the instructions in the app. He is thrilled with all the Super Mario tracks, but we gradually acquire them only on special occasions and birthdays due to the cost. However, it is something he doesn't get bored of, it is creative and worth it.
The little one is 7 years old, spent quite some time playing but the game couldn't keep him entertained as much as we would have liked for the money we spent.
Excellent game that withstands the test of time due to its interactivity, and children do not easily get bored of it. There is a variety of tracks and costumes for Mario and Luigi that reignite interest. The negative aspect is the cost of the extras that you will need to purchase in order to evolve and enrich it, but it will compensate you more than enough. We have made a small review for anyone who wants to check it out before making a purchase
It is the videogame live. Mario scans the track with a scanner on his feet and barcode points. Original idea, recommended for 6+, but I believe that in order to fully utilize the game's capabilities, the organization and concentration of a 7+ or 8+ is needed....
Even adults can easily play, it's fun with Super Mario, you hear the characteristic sounds and you feel like someone is playing Nintendo...
I bought it for my godchild's baptism and I am thinking of getting it for myself as well. It perfectly combines the creativity of Lego with new technologies and the quality that Nintendo always guarantees.
It is expensive like all Lego sets (60€). However, there are Lego sets that are twice or three times the price, such as a Star Wars spaceship, which, despite having a larger and more complex construction interest, may end up on a shelf as a "creativity" trophy and never be played with again. In contrast, this Lego Super Mario set has the original idea of an interactive figure and a gameplay that replicates the video game, which can be played multiple times in an entertaining way. So, the expensive price for Lego is relative.
Furthermore, if you are familiar with and enjoy Super Mario, then I believe you will also enjoy this game as it is a physical construction game that brings the video game to life with various tracks where the Mario figure reacts interactively with sounds and indications on its eyes and tiny screen. If you have no idea or do not like the video game, then you may not understand its interactivity and possibly not enjoy it. You can watch countless videos on YouTube about Lego Super Mario to see exactly what you are going to purchase.
I repeat, all Lego sets are small, so do not expect something bulky to "fill" your eyes. Apart from the construction aspect of the game (which is equally interesting as with other Lego sets), if you do not like the video game at the same time, then I do not know how interesting the imaginative play of the child, enriched interactively by the Super Mario figure, will be. It is a specialized game that requires the aforementioned factors for you to consider it worth the money.
Very nice idea the combination of Lego & Nintendo. Top quality construction. The set can be transformed into various variations. Mario does all the work with the sounds. If someone has €50 to spare for the set, they should go for it, but be prepared that it won't be the only set they will get, they will need to buy more... and the prices are quite steep...
A very good idea, with a very...salty price...
This particular one is the basic set with the electronic Mario.
The game brings Super Mario from consoles to reality through Lego.
You create a track with Lego and with the sensor that Mario has underneath, it understands where he "steps" and gives you coins and other power-ups (which are shown on the screen on Mario's belly).
You will definitely need to acquire other figures and sets in order to have options for your construction!
