I own an iPhone 8 Plus. I bought this product out of curiosity. I just wanted a Xiaomi. However, I don't switch from Apple; I have to mention that the phone is excellent. I am amazed by those who write negatively. Everything it offers for its price is more than enough. Probably excessive. The phone does not fall short anywhere. Besides its excellent appearance and amazing back design, it runs smoothly, takes excellent photos, and great selfies. Its sound is very good, and the volume is equally good. The screen is very good. Honestly, even at night, I think it is worthy in photos. It definitely cannot be compared to some phones that break the night mode photos, but it can be compared to others that cost €1000. If this device had iOS, I would never change it. It is truly an enviable phone at an excellent price.

  I have bought this phone for many years, 4-5 and more, and after using it for 2-3 years, I bought the new iPhone X and it started freezing after 3 months. Then, I sold it for 100€ and continued using this Xiaomi and really, after so many years, it's unbelievable! I use it daily for many hours, 4-8, for gaming, browsing, social media, camera, EVERYTHING! It hasn't experienced anything and it falls almost constantly without a case and it doesn't even have a scratch! BUY IT WITH THE ABOVE AND I WISH IT TO BE LIKE MINE!

  Guys, the phone is worth it, I've had it for two years, it has fallen countless times and has broken... generally, it is a durable phone. The battery lasts up to 1.5 days because there have been times I've forgotten it and not charged it; the battery generally holds up well with social media use, games, calls, etc. The only thing that has bothered me a bit is the resolution of the photos and videos at night, especially in the early morning hours until the afternoon (when the sun starts to set), it takes decent photos. The sound quality hasn't changed at all since the day I bought it. And the calls are just fine, we can hear each other well.

  After 1.5 years of owning the phone, I can say that it is starting to show some bugs and other issues. Initially, in the last 2-3 months, the battery drains very quickly (And I have consumed 45GB out of 64GB). One time I got up and decided to check TikTok and Instagram for a bit, and after about 30 minutes, the phone had dropped to 72%. I should add that I don't think the phone actually has 1080p resolution because it is very pixelated. It is probably around 860p. At random times during the day, the phone completely freezes and is unresponsive for 5-10 seconds. Then it works fine. Finally, the performance in games has dropped incredibly in the last 6-7 months. I will show you some games how they used to play and how they play in the last 6 months:
  PUBG: 55-60 old
  60-30 now (Rarely 60, usually around 45)
  Call of Duty Mobile: 50-60 old

  I have had the phone for 1.5 years now. Until the first year, everything was fine. After that, it started to lag, social media apps would crash, and the software would become unresponsive. Generally, a lot of bugs. Let's start with Messenger. After an update of MIUI, the chat head suddenly changed from a circle to a square with borders. If you open the chat in a conversation many times, it often shows the message Loading... and it almost never loads, resulting in you being unable to send a message for no reason. For TikTok, the screen often freezes, making it unusable. To fix this, you have to turn off the screen and turn it back on. Regarding the software, the phone receives random calls from people who had called me before. For example, if the last call was made via Messenger, it will show that you are being called on Messenger without actually receiving a call, and if you try to answer, it shows an error. The same applies to phone calls, meaning there are calls that it simply re-displays due to a bug. When I am on a call, the speaker settings remain on the top speaker, and music and other sounds are heard as if you are talking on a call. Other times, I receive calls, and it doesn't show the calls at all, nor do I get a missed call notification. All of this can be resolved with a restart, but why should you have to do all this on a daily basis to be sure? As for the battery, I have no issues; it is very good. I don't believe it is worth the money.

  I give it 2 stars because after 9 months of use (purchased in May 2021 for 164 euros) it frequently presents the following problems (in random order):
  1. During use, it freezes and after a few seconds, it executes every command I gave while the screen was frozen.
  2. Sometimes, when I am on a call, after two minutes the device will automatically restart (no, I did not accidentally press anything).
  3. Sometimes, when I try to make a call, it won't go through (the characteristic sound won't be heard). Then, when I try to cancel the call, the phone gets stuck in the call termination phase. It works normally, but in the background, it is still trying to end a call that was never made. (the problem is fixed with a restart, which takes ages)

  P.S: I don't know if problem 3 is a network provider issue or a device issue, so don't take it for granted. Also, I hope that I was just unlucky to receive a faulty device and that the device won't actually deteriorate after about 1 year of use.

  Update 28/8/2022
  Having had this phone for 1 year and 3 months, I can now say that out of the aforementioned problems, 1) still exists, 2) has stopped happening, and 3) occurs but less frequently. Unfortunately, I have to add more negative feedback regarding the performance of the device. In the majority of social media applications, at least 3 times a day, the screen freezes and then resumes functioning with the same action I was doing when the screen froze. The tragic part is that after a while, the software informs you that a certain application has stopped working (useless information given that the phone unfroze and I continued doing what I was doing). Today, however, I encountered a new problem for the first time. I wanted to send a photo through Instagram and the phone completely froze. I'm not referring to the previous minor freezes. When I say it completely froze, I mean it. Neither touch nor the home button nor the power button were functioning. I had to hold down the power button hoping it would unfreeze, and luckily it restarted.

  I should note that I have heard about the current software version MIUI 12.5.6, which is the cause of all the problems I mentioned. I hope that with the arrival of MIUI 13 on Xiaomi phones of this category, the problems will be fixed. If not, as I have said before, I hope I got a defective model; otherwise, stay away from this device.

  Update 16/9/2022
  Recently, I received MIUI 13 and I found out that the above-mentioned problems were a result of the terrible version 12.5.6, which is every Xiaomi user's nightmare. Now, the phone doesn't freeze like it used to and it functions normally.

  Update 23/11/2023
  Unfortunately, the phone has reached a point where it causes frustration, specifically with issues where it freezes excessively for more than 1 minute. Seriously, do not make the mistake of opening any social media while listening to Spotify, for example... the phone will almost self-destruct. It freezes to such an extent that you can't do anything (although the sound plays normally, I don't know what sorcery that is...). Also, something I forgot to mention, the phone does not have NFC. A major drawback for today's standards. It's better to stay away from low-range Xiaomi phones unless you feel comfortable changing your phone every 2 years. I haven't tried formatting the phone.

  While it is a decent phone for its price, with the most significant feature being the long battery life as it lasts 2 days with moderate use, BUT I have never seen so many bugs and glitches all at once.
  1. When I listen to music and someone calls, it freezes and doesn't let me answer it, nor does it allow me to hang up if I want to.
  2. In the beginning, when I got it about 1.5 years ago, suddenly the earpiece would malfunction, resulting in not hearing anything when someone called, and I had to put it on speakerphone to communicate + I had to restart it all the time and pray for it to fix itself.
  3. For some reason, the sound lowers by itself sometimes, and as soon as I turn it up, it drops again and gets stuck low (I missed important calls and even my alarm....) and as soon as I restart it, it says fast boot, which means it detects a problem and tries to fix it, but it doesn't succeed, and I wait about 2 hours with the phone paralyzed.
  4. Just recently, I set a ringtone from a song using the Ringtone Maker app, and it got stuck, and no matter what I set as a sound from the tracks I created, it plays the default sound...
  5. The AUX port wouldn't recognize the headphones properly, and many times out of the blue, it would play from the speaker because it didn't detect them, or I would unplug them, and it would freeze as if they were still connected, and nothing would be heard... again, restart after that...
  There are other minor issues that I'm sure I'm forgetting.. However, in short, it's a good phone regarding battery, camera, large screen, and I would say the speed of the processor, but in terms of software and quality, it's completely terrible, truly unacceptable...

  I am very disappointed and I will list my problems after almost 2 years of ownership:
  1) After some update, the volume of the earpiece during calls has dropped significantly, and now I can hardly hear the person on the other line unless it is quiet around me or I switch to speakerphone or use headphones.
  2) I receive calls and occasionally I won't be able to answer. It freezes on that call while I can use the phone for anything else, but in order to make a call or receive one, I have to restart it to unfreeze.
  3) The battery in the last 2-3 months has shown a noticeable decrease in endurance throughout the day, and I am forced to have power saving mode permanently activated. I don't know if a certain update is responsible for this.
  In conclusion, I do not recommend it as the one job it should do without issues is making calls, and it fails miserably.

  I have had the phone for 13 months and I bought it for 197 euros. After the fourth month of purchase, it started to freeze and the interface often lost control. In the last 3 months, sometimes when I talk on the phone, it restarts by itself, especially if it has been under pressure in terms of temperature. The battery lasted longer in the first months, it has somewhat lost its performance, without me overusing it. It definitely lasts one day, for the second day it depends on what you do. I don't use it for gaming or to listen to music or watch videos for hours. The speaker is decent overall, people can hear me when I talk even on speakerphone. I would say the photos are somewhat mediocre, especially the selfies. That's where it really falls short. You won't have issues with browsing or social media. This is the second Xiaomi I have bought, admittedly this one hasn't worked out for me and I wouldn't choose it again due to the first two problems I mentioned.
