I own an iPhone 8 Plus. I bought this product out of curiosity. I just wanted a Xiaomi. However, I don't switch from Apple; I have to mention that the phone is excellent. I am amazed by those who write negatively. Everything it offers for its price is more than enough. Probably excessive. The phone does not fall short anywhere. Besides its excellent appearance and amazing back design, it runs smoothly, takes excellent photos, and great selfies. Its sound is very good, and the volume is equally good. The screen is very good. Honestly, even at night, I think it is worthy in photos. It definitely cannot be compared to some phones that break the night mode photos, but it can be compared to others that cost €1000. If this device had iOS, I would never change it. It is truly an enviable phone at an excellent price.
Samsung, once again Samsung. I really regret saying I would spend less money than what is required for one of the Galaxy series.
Three months after purchasing it, the touch central button that leads to the app screen started to freeze. Especially during calls, it would press itself constantly without me being able to stop it, resulting in the call being unable to end! I returned it to the company asking for a refund.
The unique phone that I have kept for 4 years and continues to work perfectly. A little while ago, it started to slow down a bit when opening applications, but after a complete hard reset, the phone is flying. I will keep it until it gives up. The 170 euros I paid back then were more than worth it.
Wonderful phone until my cat broke it
However, it lasted 4 years with perfect sound, image, brightness, etc.!
I got it second-hand in the summer of '21. Up until now, July 2024, and it still works perfectly in everything. I'll keep it for as long as it goes... I'm talking about the 6/128
13/07/2024 and yet it's still here... purchased on 10/06/2020
the battery still works perfectly
we're in the 5th year... it survived COVID-19, quarantines, vacations, and late-night outings
I have had it for 4 years and it hasn't had any issues. Good photos and good speed for its price, and the battery lasts quite a while. After 4 years, it has some glitches where it shuts down and then opens again after 2-3 hours
THE BEST PHONE!!!!
I have bought this phone for many years, 4-5 and more, and after using it for 2-3 years, I bought the new iPhone X and it started freezing after 3 months. Then, I sold it for 100€ and continued using this Xiaomi and really, after so many years, it's unbelievable! I use it daily for many hours, 4-8, for gaming, browsing, social media, camera, EVERYTHING! It hasn't experienced anything and it falls almost constantly without a case and it doesn't even have a scratch! BUY IT WITH THE ABOVE AND I WISH IT TO BE LIKE MINE!
The only reason to change it is the continuous ghost touch it experiences randomly. It even made a phone call on its own when I had it abandoned on the table... Overall, the digitizer has started to not respond correctly.... It has become frustrating. Now, even its speaker has lost its volume and it's hard to hear. I'm sad that I have to change it because it served me well all this time....
3 years and one month later, it stopped charging and won't turn on. It had a few minor glitches recently, but I didn't drop it. I used it for work, photos, emails, and Viber. It was worth every penny
Unacceptable, it's garbage. It freezes, the microphone is terrible, the speakerphone is like it doesn't exist since no one can hear you. Never again Xiaomi
Guys, the phone is worth it, I've had it for two years, it has fallen countless times and has broken... generally, it is a durable phone. The battery lasts up to 1.5 days because there have been times I've forgotten it and not charged it; the battery generally holds up well with social media use, games, calls, etc. The only thing that has bothered me a bit is the resolution of the photos and videos at night, especially in the early morning hours until the afternoon (when the sun starts to set), it takes decent photos. The sound quality hasn't changed at all since the day I bought it. And the calls are just fine, we can hear each other well.
After 20 months of having it as a corporate device, I am quite disappointed with the latest models. As a holder of various Xiaomi devices for 10 years, I see a huge drop in call speaker power and freezes during calls.
After being a holder for a year and a holder of Xiaomi for 4 consecutive years, I decided not to buy Xiaomi again. The first two models (mia1 + mia2) had no major problems and were worth their money. This specific one, after 7 months of operation, started to freeze, accepts calls whenever it wants, and is generally a bit useless! Freezes on the screen, presses buttons by itself, and doesn't respond correctly in general. That's all!
It is a pretty good phone, I have had it for about 1 year. The battery is very good, the resolution is okay. The speakers are not loud, they are low. Overall, it is a good phone and worth the money.
After 1.5 years of owning the phone, I can say that it is starting to show some bugs and other issues. Initially, in the last 2-3 months, the battery drains very quickly (And I have consumed 45GB out of 64GB). One time I got up and decided to check TikTok and Instagram for a bit, and after about 30 minutes, the phone had dropped to 72%. I should add that I don't think the phone actually has 1080p resolution because it is very pixelated. It is probably around 860p. At random times during the day, the phone completely freezes and is unresponsive for 5-10 seconds. Then it works fine. Finally, the performance in games has dropped incredibly in the last 6-7 months. I will show you some games how they used to play and how they play in the last 6 months:
PUBG: 55-60 old
60-30 now (Rarely 60, usually around 45)
Call of Duty Mobile: 50-60 old
I would give it a tax as well, but then I realized that I can't because this is the only phone I have. Also, I bought the phone for about 175 euros recently (January 2022 and a few months before, the prices of this phone have gone up) for gaming, the processor and the 4GB RAM will hold you back a bit; however, it is a very beautiful and satisfactory phone for its price (when I bought it)
Unfortunately, the microphone has a serious problem, the speakerphone as well as every cable I use for hands-free. They constantly hear interference, and while it is a decent phone, neither its service helps in resolving the issue, nor is there even a replacement phone.
Since the day I got it, the screen freezes and lags constantly. In every app I enter, the screen freezes and it kicks me out. This phone is not for gaming!
I am very disappointed and I will list my problems after almost 2 years of ownership:
1) After some update, the volume of the earpiece during calls has dropped significantly, and now I can hardly hear the person on the other line unless it is quiet around me or I switch to speakerphone or use headphones.
2) I receive calls and occasionally I won't be able to answer. It freezes on that call while I can use the phone for anything else, but in order to make a call or receive one, I have to restart it to unfreeze.
3) The battery in the last 2-3 months has shown a noticeable decrease in endurance throughout the day, and I am forced to have power saving mode permanently activated. I don't know if a certain update is responsible for this.
In conclusion, I do not recommend it as the one job it should do without issues is making calls, and it fails miserably.
I have had the phone for about 1.5 years, very good battery life and quite a good camera. But lately, I have noticed that the phone freezes quite often without pressure (it operates on its own), meaning it freezes and opens various applications, and this problem is resolved with a restart, which can happen twice a week. Then what happened to me was that I left the phone for 1 minute and it just shut down and tried to turn on by itself, it vibrated and then shut down again; this happened about 10 times before it turned on normally
After almost a year since the purchase. For calls and browsing that I do, the phone is just fine. Quality-wise, as a construction, it is good, and the simple case it came with from the factory has withstood reasonable drops without any issues. If we want demanding performance in display, camera, sound, and video, we should go for a higher price category. Battery, for its capacity, I would say its performance is average, but it might also be due to the software. In conclusion, a value for money phone, honest and reliable.
I have had it since the end of July. It has been flawless so far! One piece of advice! Do not update your phones because it decreases the battery life and damages the phone. (it freezes, the battery drains quickly, etc.) Since I got it until now, I haven't done any updates at all.
I have been a holder of this mobile for about a year now, and it is my fourth phone from this company, which has generally disappointed me. All the previous Xiaomis were very strong, but this one has not satisfied me. Indicatively, there are freezes in applications, loss of signal, and forced restarts, especially during calls quite frequently, and mediocre multitasking. For simple use, it is okay, but for something more demanding, I would say to look elsewhere.
I have had the phone for a year and four months now.. for its price, it's excellent, fast with minimal lag, good bright screen for IPS, good cameras, everything is fine.. BUT.. it messed up on the basics.. due to my profession, I travel daily and when the signal is weak, the phone completely malfunctions.. during calls, it freezes, doesn’t hang up, doesn’t redial, and sometimes it even completely freezes requiring a restart.. also, many times while I know I have reached an area with better network coverage, it still continues to have no signal and needs a restart.. this is of course a negative for me since I travel, within Athens the phone is just fine..
It may look like it has 4 cameras but only 2 work, one for the wide-angle lens and the other for regular photos which is converted to digital 2x zoom. The other 2 cameras are fake. In terms of processing speed, it is good.
I have had the phone for 13 months and I bought it for 197 euros. After the fourth month of purchase, it started to freeze and the interface often lost control. In the last 3 months, sometimes when I talk on the phone, it restarts by itself, especially if it has been under pressure in terms of temperature. The battery lasted longer in the first months, it has somewhat lost its performance, without me overusing it. It definitely lasts one day, for the second day it depends on what you do. I don't use it for gaming or to listen to music or watch videos for hours. The speaker is decent overall, people can hear me when I talk even on speakerphone. I would say the photos are somewhat mediocre, especially the selfies. That's where it really falls short. You won't have issues with browsing or social media. This is the second Xiaomi I have bought, admittedly this one hasn't worked out for me and I wouldn't choose it again due to the first two problems I mentioned.
I've been a holder of this phone for a year and something. While everything was going perfectly, I was very satisfied, problems started to arise. It began to freeze, calls were coming in but it showed as closed or even didn't ring at all, several apps don't work properly and in most cases, it crashes. I can say I am very disappointed. It's better to look for something else at this price, I definitely do not recommend it
I've had it for about a year. It would freeze occasionally at first, but I didn't pay much attention. However, lately, it's gotten out of hand. It shuts down while I'm talking, restarts on its own, etc. As time goes on, it's getting closer and closer to the trash. Samsung, once again Samsung, I'm sorry to say it, but that's how it is. I regret switching brands.
