Additionally, the charger recognizes and stops charging if something is detected between the phone and the charger, preventing overheating. Moreover, the Mi 20W Wireless Charging Stand uses dual-coil technology, allowing you to charge your smartphone easily, whether it is on or off.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
I just wanted a charger to keep my phone next to the computer when I'm sitting without caring about its speed. The phone supports up to 15W Qi, so in order for this charger to charge at 10W, the phone needs to support 20W. Therefore, it charges at 5W for me. Pay attention to this, if you want fast charging, make sure your phone and charger are compatible. The image shows the specifications that your charger and phone need to have.
I messed up with the name and got it for no reason. Read to know what you're getting.
[Edit: Keep in mind that when the review was written, the charger cost €22, now it has dropped to €14 which is a more reasonable price for a simple 10W wireless charger (excluding the mi 9 which gives 20W with the corresponding charger). The initial price of €30 was simply ridiculous.]
Firstly, I will mention that it looks well-made and sturdy, like most Xiaomi products. It doesn't look cheap. The package includes the base and a usb-a to usb-c cable, but it does NOT include a charger. The base is small in size and made of hard plastic without any rubber surface, and especially larger phones don't stand very stable on it mainly due to the lip it has at the bottom and the fact that the surface is slippery.
I have the Samsung S20+ which supports wireless charging of 15W. My mistake might be that I thought since the base is 20W, it would provide 15W to my device.
Initially, I tried the 25W Super Fast Charger from Samsung but it is not compatible and only charges at 5W wirelessly. Then I tried with a 15W charger (Samsung) and 18W (Huawei), and while the Fast Charge indicator lit up on the phone and it said it would take 1 hour and 40 minutes to charge from 30% to 100%, the phone took over 3 hours to fully charge in many tests I conducted. I also tried with a 27W charger from Blitzwolf (BW-S12) which supports QC 4.0 and the same thing happened, initially up to 10W and then it drops, taking over 2.5 hours to charge from 30%.
I downloaded the Ampere app to see what's going on and I noticed that it initially charges at around 9W for about 10 minutes and then the battery temperature rises and it drops to 5-7.5W. The base does not have a cooling system and I believe it heats up and limits the power (the box states the maximum operating temperature of the base is 35 degrees Celsius, so with room temperatures reaching 30 degrees Celsius in the summer, it doesn't handle it well). [EDIT: I confirm that it's a temperature issue, now in the winter with room temperature at 20 degrees Celsius, it works more stable at 10W and charges from 30% to 100% in 1 hour and 50 minutes for the Samsung 20+].
On a Samsung S7 that I tried, it constantly interrupts every 5 seconds and restarts, whether I place it vertically or horizontally, so I can't charge it, while before I could charge it without any problems with a noname 10W wireless charger. iPhones charge wirelessly with a maximum of 7.5W, so no matter which 10W charger you get, it's the same.
Honestly, I don't see the point in choosing this base since you can find a 10W one for 10 euros, unless you have the Xiaomi Mi 9 which is theoretically fully compatible. A big flaw for me is the false advertising of 20W in the title and packaging, without mentioning anywhere what is needed for the base to perform at its maximum, nor does it state with how many W the devices will charge as stated by the wireless chargers from Samsung and Spigen. In the charger's manual (in the second photo I uploaded), it states that to reach 10W it requires an 18W charger and above, and for 20W it needs a "QC 3.0 Class B 27W and above" fast charger, something that should be mentioned on the box so you know it before purchasing.

This was the only truly worthy gadget in its category out of a total of four I had acquired by different companies.
Sturdy built quality, robust and fairly decent design and, above all, a solid all round performance.
Thank you once again Xiaomi !
The usage with the 33W charger of the Xiaomi Poco F3 is great.
Overall, it's not bad, but it definitely charges very slowly. The cable alone does a better job... but that's not a reason to buy something like this
It only has a cable and is generally slow, even though I have it connected to 20w.
I’m coming back to say that I bought a 33w charger since I found it at a good price and I don’t see any difference.
Fortunately, it is cheap because otherwise we are talking about wasted money.
It's a shame because the truth is that it is nice and convenient
It's worth its money and more! It has been incredibly convenient for me, it doesn't heat up at all, it has fast charging, and it has been tested with various mobile phones. Flawless, I highly recommend it!
The watermelon is rubbish! I bought it for my Sony phone and I could never find the charging point. Now I just use it as a stand and when I want to charge, I simply connect it with the cable. DISGUSTING!!!!
I have had this wireless charger for 2 months now. It is a pretty good base and has excellent charging speed when combined with the appropriate charger and cable. Overall, it has made my life easier
For the money, it is very good!
The Pixel 8 pro charges relatively quickly (although understandably slower compared to cable charging) and with the case on it... I used the cable included in the package and an old 33-watt Xiaomi charger that I had, and everything is fine! I recommend it for a cheap wireless charger/stand, it does its job perfectly!
He may be good with other phones and charge them, but when it starts charging my galaxy z fold, it immediately interrupts the charging. Unfortunately, I got it for nothing.
Pure disappointment! I bought it to charge my iPhone 15 and it didn't work correctly even once. It shows that it's charging and then stops in 10 seconds! Money wasted.
It simply does exactly what it promises. Good charging speed (20W), and very affordable!
Unlike the (55W) one I had bought, which was both expensive and didn't recognize the phone....
(Poco f5 pro)
I wonder why I bought it.... I end up putting my phone on the charger. If I put it in this one, I wake up without any battery, it doesn't even do slow charging
While on the Huawei P30 Pro, it charged rapidly, on the Oppo X5 it barely reaches 4.5 watts with all the chargers and cables in the world!!! It could be the fault of the Oppo
as a wireless charger it is good, worth its money
don't expect something super as it is not very fast
I put it in a specific socket and I have connected it directly to the USB type C cable that the socket has on top of it
usually I leave my phone all night next to the nightstand when I sleep to charge
I'm not so concerned about fast charging as my S23 ULTRA phone battery lasts all day
with moderate to heavy use
messenger facebook instagram phone calls for fun
generally worth it to have the phone at night and charge while you sleep slowly and steadily
because slow charging also helps with battery health
Beautiful with a large back to keep the phone stable and charges quickly with a 60W adapter even with a case.
The unit looks very nice, good quality appearance and construction but I have found that one of our phones (Google Pixel Pro 6) charges perfectly every time on it - no problem. But the other phone (Samsung Galaxy S20) often does not charge if it is upright but mostly does charge on it's side. I have not had this problem with any other wireless charging unit, which is unusual. I still like the devices but be aware your particular phone MAY struggle with them.
full worth it. For 15-20€ it's worth every euro.
When it fails to catch (match) the phone (because for example it may have been inserted incorrectly), it blinks blink and shows that it is NOT charging. If it is charging, it opens normally with a green light. If it is not charging, the light is off. Very nice construction
It is absolutely worth its money, good construction, perfect for the office. It charges as fast as the charger it is connected to. I would buy it again.
It works great with the S22 Ultra.
It is sturdy and has the perfect tilt for me to see the screen.
Because I believe that slow charging helps with battery longevity, I'm glad it's not super fast, I prefer it.
I'm thinking of ordering a second one...
Occasionally, with the case (plastic), it doesn't charge immediately and you have to find the right spot.
Update 03/2023
Finally, the second one arrived, and both are great.
The charging base works perfectly satisfactorily on my Xiaomi 12 5G. In the mobile package, there was a 67W QC 4.0 charger with its designated cable, so I didn't need to buy an extra cable and charger (unlike some other mobile brands that don't include a charger). The charger is aesthetically pleasing, sturdy, and although it is not expensive, it cannot be considered cheap. Given that in order to enjoy the fast charge of 20W (e.g. Xiaomi's mi turbo charge), one will also need a suitable charger with QC 3.0/4.0 support (above 27W), a typical 5V/2A charger will certainly not offer much in terms of wireless charging. Furthermore, charging my mobile from 10% to full 100% does not take more than 1 to 1.5 hours. Additionally, it automatically stops charging once it reaches 100% capacity. Finally, it heats up to a certain degree during charging, but it does not pose a significant issue in terms of performance or wear.
It is incredibly convenient compared to the others that are reclining because you can work on your phone at the same time, while with the others it is a bit difficult
Owner of mi9 and iPhone 12, I got it simply because I wanted a stand and I thought, why not a wireless charger... it is quite affordable, charges a little slower on both phones compared to a wired charger
It's perfect! and fast charging in about 2 hours with a suitable charger but also "slow" charging in about 3 hours with a regular charger. You can plug it in at night and by morning it charges slowly and steadily without draining or heating the battery!!! Tested on galaxy s21 ultra note 9 s10 s22+ connected to a Samsung fast charge travel charger for €12
Convenient base.. ideal for fast wireless charging.
Very good build quality, I still haven't managed to get the fast charging to work, but I imagine it's because of the wall adapters.
Honest choice for its price and what it offers. As an iPhone 11 Pro owner, I use it for wireless charging, but at the same time, it is convenient as a stand for my phone while making FaceTime calls or watching something on my phone. Beautiful construction despite the low cost. ATTENTION THOUGH: for potential buyers, please read: Classic chargers with 5V/1A CANNOT support it, only chargers with 5V/2A (and above) can support it with a 5W output. For fast charging, the charger must be >18W and support QuickCharge 2.0/3.0. On the downside, when the phone is placed and wireless charging is activated, there is a slight "whispering" sound from the coil alignment. It's understandable since it's not MagSafe, but it gets the job done.
Very nice design, I use it often and also as a stand for FaceTime, etc. The charging is okay, generally I don't have high expectations from wireless charging. Used with iPhone X. Awesome quality-price ratio at 15-20 euros.
I charge it with a Xiaomi type C charger and the charging speed is at the level of the Apple desktop charger! The device is an iPhone X. With its own charger, the temperature reached up to 24 degrees. With this, I see it being at around 29-32 degrees without it being excessive or feeling like the device is burning! I would say within reasonable limits! Very satisfied! I also tried it with the OnePlus 18w fast charger and the charging speed was half! It probably needs the Xiaomi 18w charger! It's worth its money!
Excellent device. In combination with the fast charger, it does what it says - fast charging. Everything is perfect. Worth every euro
