I bought it to start a car that had a dead battery due to inactivity. The battery was completely drained. I connected the cables to another car with a good battery, but unfortunately they couldn't start the other vehicle. On the contrary, they quickly overheated, in less than 15 seconds, so I disconnected them. The car was eventually started with different, stronger cables. I don't think they can handle as much current as their label claims. I do not recommend it for completely dead batteries.

  The packaging does not provide any information about the actual diameter of the cables. However, the instructions state that they should not be subjected to current leakage for more than 15 seconds continuously. Nevertheless, the actual diameter of the cable seems to be between 10mm2 and 16mm2, and I speculate that it is a 7 or 6AWG cable according to American standards.
