Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) could prove to be the most significant advancement in Wi-Fi development, providing a huge boost in speed and overall capacity. The general adoption of Wi-Fi 6 is getting closer with more and more AX clients. It is the right time to upgrade your router to the newest generation of Wi-Fi!
The High Speed of Gig+ Can't Wait
There is no reason to delay purchasing a Wi-Fi 6 Router when you can already fully exploit the speed it offers. With a bandwidth of 160 MHz and 1024-QAM, the Archer AX50 delivers true gigabit speeds of up to 3 Gbps. Enjoy faster streaming and gaming like never before. Powered by the Intel® Home Wi-Fi WAV654 chipset for a fully featured Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 router, it pairs perfectly with new Intel® Wi-Fi 6 Gig+ computers and laptops, allowing smooth execution of multiple bandwidth-intensive tasks simultaneously.
Reliable Connections for up to 256 Devices
In response to the ever-increasing demands on home Wi-Fi, the Archer AX50 future-proofs your home networks by providing 4x greater capacity to connect more devices. Advanced technologies like OFDMA quadruple the connection capability in high-density scenarios compared to standard 802.11ac routers. Keep up with the latest technology and future developments.
Extended Coverage Throughout Your Home
Four high-performance external antennas and Beamforming technology combine to extend strong, reliable Wi-Fi throughout your home. Cutting-edge Wi-Fi 6 technologies, such as BSS color, ensure smooth and stable connections by eliminating signal interference from your neighbors.
Lower Latency, Better Experience.
Taking a huge leap forward in wireless connectivity, Wi-Fi 6 brings stable and responsive Wi-Fi connections to the hyper-connected homes of tomorrow. Enjoy more responsive gaming and seamless teleconferencing even when multiple compatible devices are connected and data is being transmitted simultaneously.

Easy Management with Tether
Set up your router in minutes through the smart web interface or the powerful Tether app. Tether also allows you to manage network settings from any Android or iOS device.
Reduce Device Energy Consumption
While Wi-Fi 6 clients are beginning to enter the market in significant numbers, the newer AX technology - Target Wake Time - helps your devices communicate more while consuming less power. Mobile devices and IoT devices that support TWT negotiate when and how often they will wake up to send or receive data, increasing sleep time and effectively extending battery life.

Excellent software that includes parental controls, traffic control, etc., but also many options and can be controlled from anywhere with the mobile application. The software is much better than I expected and there is a huge user community for everything it includes. On the downside, for some inexplicable reason, some devices require a restart to connect, the range is not better than the cheap routers provided for free by telecommunications companies, and it doesn't seem to have improved internet connection speed.
A very good device to boost your home network. It was installed on a TP-LINK 100v Modem and it really is day and night. No more disconnections of wireless devices and overall provider disconnections. Significant upgrade in connection speed. From a 20-24 VDSL, it locked at 28+ (I don't know if it was random, but I am monitoring the locked speed). It is definitely worth the money. Simply connect one ethernet port of the modem to the WAN port of the router and connect all your devices to it, both wireless and wired. And it has a USB3 port. Relatively easy menu with many settings.
And something I noticed yesterday (6/7/2021), from 2.0-2.3 download speed, now I am at 3.0-3.2!
Whatever I say is little, very easy to install with a very nice menu that you can make changes either from your mobile or from your computer. Excellent signal throughout the house!
It really saved me. With the provider's old router, even though I have 200mbps, I was only getting a maximum of 30.
I delayed buying a new router for a long time because I had to use both the provider's old one and the new one together, and I thought it would be a hassle (settings, resetting in case of a possible reboot, etc.).
The truth is that it requires minimal to no settings. I have managed to get over 150mbps in all rooms.
Plus, it supports 5Ghz (the signal is not blinded by neighboring wifi) and even in 2.4Ghz, there is minimal decrease (~145mbps).
Note that a good card is needed on the PC (I got TP-LINK Archer T4U Plus).
I recommend it to everyone who has a large space and the typical router provided by the ISP is useless.
The best purchase for this year.
We have and we say. My experience with the products of this specific company was only positive and the idea of a cheap WiFi 6 router seemed attractive to me from the beginning. Having worked with it for a few months with mobile phones and laptops compatible with this technology, I can say that the advantages are not purely from the beginning. Firstly, I don't think I need to say that the installation was very simple since the router immediately received PPPoE codes from Speedport Plus and started with 96mbps out of the 98 attainable that the modem showed. Now, regarding WiFi 6, I didn't find any differences in speedtests using the same laptop once with Intel AC9560 and another time with AX200, but the excellent management of simultaneous users shined when I was using multiple devices at the same time. I don't know if it's due to the processor or OFDMA, but I didn't experience any hesitation with multiple local file transfers and 4k YouTube videos. The options in the 5Ghz band allow you to choose high channels, which, especially when you are in densely populated neighborhoods, can greatly increase stability and range by selecting the right channel. Beamforming also helps a lot with range, which, although at first it sounded like simple marketing mythology, it is indeed adaptive. Going from the living room to the bedroom balcony on the other side of the house with my mobile phone, initially I get -85dBm and after a couple of minutes it goes up to -67dBm. Truly useful in larger or more complexly built houses. The SMB server with a 1TB hard drive worked flawlessly and comfortably even with a loaded network, and the option of remote access makes it even more useful. My only complaint is the strange loss of WPA3 encryption, which is available even in lower models of the series (see AX20). I feel that a router that aims for futureproofing is a bit incomplete without the latest encryption protocols that have already made their appearance in cheaper options. Seeing that the latest software update for this one was released in August 2020 at the time of writing this review, and with TP-Link's history of listening to its customers, I have reason to believe that a new software is already in the plans. In conclusion, I will add that for anything related to the stability of its operation, I will update here as this one is now functioning in my home on a daily basis.
Update 17/4/2021:
This one has been given to a friend's house. I have gotten the AX6000 for which I have written my first impressions, but this won't change the fact that if anything happens, I will update here. However, so far, even in the house where it is currently located, it works flawlessly.
