The Samyang 8mm F3.5 AS MC Fisheye CSII lens features a detachable lens cover (DH), otherwise it is the same (optically and mechanically) as the non-detachable hood. The Samyang 8mm F3.5 Fish eye CS II is designed for APS-C, but can also be used on full-frame cameras with the lens cover removed.

On full-frame cameras, it offers a wide field of view, making it ideal for panoramic and 3D virtual tours. The optical construction of the lens is 10 elements arranged in 7 optical groups. The Samyang 8mm Fisheye CS II features a hybrid aspherical lens and the latest anti-reflective multi-coating (MC) to minimize flare and ghosting.
