  It is vfm. In stress tests, the i3 12100f processor did not exceed 58°c, silent even at full speed. The installation was of moderate difficulty because the screws that attach to the base of the cooler are in a position that requires the screwdriver to be at an angle. I had to remove the graphics card, and the screw on the bottom side barely fits in the m2.

  Was never able to use this because, despite all of the marketing (on here and on the Arctic site) there is no mention that **some** (I'd say most) mainboards will not be supported. The cooler uses some bizarre peg mounting system that wouldn't work with any mainboard I've ever had (and I've built many computers). I'm not a PC tech but I have enough experience to make this weird. Arctic support was quite useless as well, but not before wasting 2 weeks of my life with slow unhelpful responses (an entire week just to get the first response). If your motherboard requires screws to secure a CPU cooler, DO NOT BUY THIS COOLER. BUYER BEWARE.

  I haven't seen issues with any of them... in games and multitasking, it keeps the processor below 55-60 under full load, while with the i7 14700f (the 2 I've used so far), it runs at 60-71 due to poor power consumption and the temperatures it generally raises...

  Compared to stock Intel, the temperatures are 50+% better, and not just in one test but over many hours of gaming or work. With Ryzen, the cooling is 10-20% better. However, where it really shows what it can do is in overclocking.

  My 5700x3D processor dropped from 60-65°C under full load to 44-51°C. When I set the processor to a 45 multiplier with 110MHz (4.950GHz) from the stock 75-87°C, it keeps it at 51-59°C, but you can hear it working (which is reasonable for a €17 cooler; I shouldn't expect it to compete with 100+ coolers).

  So, if you buy tray CPUs without cooling or if your processors (Intel) don't come with cooling, with this specific one, you're more than covered!

  The processor cools perfectly fine, it doesn't raise temperatures. The only issue was the installation. Even on AM4, it took me about 20 minutes to install it and it was difficult. The company in their installation guide video for AM4 makes it look easy, but believe me, it's not. You also need a long screwdriver because the screw placement is terrible, etc. Other than that, it cools well, for 15-20€ it's much better than the stock cooler.

  Difficult to install on LGA 1200, had to unscrew the entire motherboard and remove it from the case in order for the cooler to "lock". Overall, it cools better than the stock cooler of the Core i5 11400F, about 10-20C degrees lower. With the stock cooler, I had 50-60C in idle, now I have 30-40C. In games, it went from 80-90C to 60-70C. It's good for the money.

My friend, who plays with the exact same processor and the exact same games but with a different CPU cooler, never had any temperature issues.   New system with i5 12400f / B660m, the processor with the stock cooler was reaching temperatures of 90-100 degrees while gaming and making a lot of noise.

  So I got this one, although I was concerned because I couldn't find any installation for the above combination, as it says it fits socket 1700.

  The truth is that initially there was disappointment because I saw that it couldn't fit because the screws on the sides hit the heatsink (I think?) of the motherboard on the top, while on the bottom it barely passes through the corresponding one of the M2.

  With a lot of effort and after unscrewing the mounting screws as much as possible, I managed to attach it on both sides, although with the attempts the top heatsink got scratched and the thermal paste got smudged. Then I screwed in the screws, so in the end it fits.

  Result: All's well that ends well since it's not audible, it's practically silent, and the temperature in gaming hasn't exceeded 62 degrees and as I said, the thermal paste didn't stay perfect either. The RPM is usually up to 1000-1100.

  So it works out, but in the above way it is feasible for anyone who wonders if it can fit on this motherboard. I didn't try it, but if the fan blows the air upwards so that the screws can go into the other sides, it might possibly fit slightly easier, but still on one end it will be borderline against the heatsink and on the other against the RAM.

  I have a terrible case that was creating prohibitive temperatures. I mean, if there were temperature police for the CPU, they would have sentenced me to life in prison without parole to never see the light of day again. I decided to dare and install this specific cooler, and my head really cooled down. Literally. It is completely silent compared to the stock one that was hurting my ears, and because I play heavy games (PUBG, Days Gone), I haven't seen it go above 62 degrees (during summer). When idle, it stays around 33-38 degrees Celsius. The installation wasn't that difficult, although it did give me a bit of trouble because, as I mentioned before, I have a case that is a mess. If you have space issues and are considering getting it, just remove the GPU first and with a little patience, you will be able to install it. For its price, it is a great purchase.

  For AMD CPUs, installation is as easy as ever. AM3/AM4 motherboards already have the brackets pre-installed. You pass the clips from below, lock one and you're done!

  In terms of performance, it is much quieter than the stock cooler of the AMD FX-4300, which made more noise than cooling the processor. From idle at 50 degrees with recent MX4 paste, to 25 degrees with the pre-installed MX2 paste.

  Although the CPU (95W) exceeds the maximum TDP by 5W compared to the cooler, the PC (used as a Proxmox node) cools well and doesn't sound like a jet with hot engines ready to take off. Highly recommended.

  EDIT 28/03/22: A few weeks ago, the fan motor gave up, having no other option but to send it to their service in Germany, with covered expenses and replacement due to warranty. Kudos also for their top-class service.

  Today, I installed it on an 11-year-old Intel i5 750 @2.67, which was running with its own cooler for all these years without me changing the thermal paste. It had started to freeze a lot and the core temperatures were between 85-99. I was desperate about the performance of my PC until I saw the temperatures. The installation is a bit tricky, and to secure it better, I also removed the graphics card. For someone more experienced, it will definitely take less time. However, regardless of the result, it was worth all the "trouble" of installation. I opened the computer and couldn't believe the numbers I was seeing. All 4 cores were fluctuating between 33-46 degrees. Such a temperature difference obviously creates the impression of a different machine. To have a quieter mind, I also bought and applied Arctic paste for €3.5, which I had read can make a difference of up to 10 degrees compared to the factory one that comes with the cooler. It doesn't make any noise, although I have 4 other fans that have their own dB, so I can't judge accurately to help the silence junkies.
